About Birla White
Birla White is the most successful and best-selling white cement brand in India. Termed as the ‘whitest white cement’, Birla White is a brand under the famous Ultratech Cements manufactured by the Aditya Birla Group. The brand was initially a part of Indian Rayon and Industries Limited, with the first kiln starting production in 1988 with a capacity of producing 80,000 tonnes of white cement per annum. A Japanese company, Onoda provided the necessary technology for the production of the white cement. The cement business was subsequently merged with Grasim Industries. Birla White produces a number of products which are as follows:
1.    White Cement – This cement enhances the artistic expression in architectural design. It provides a pristine white canvas for all architectural projects due to constant innovation and technological advancement in the manufacturing of this product. A brilliant lustre and a smooth finish can be obtained due to its high refractive index and high opacity. It can be applied with decorative paints, plasters, Mosaic tiles and Terrazzo flooring.
2.    Wallcare Putty – This product is the best choice for preventing walls from flaking. Its superior quality makes it the only putty in India to meet international standards. Binding strongly with base plaster, it provides complete protection as well as a smooth finish.
3.    Textura – This product provides exquisite textures to walls due to the state of the art technology used in manufacturing. It also provides protection from weathering without the need of applying a primer. The Spray Roller Finish is suitable for interiors while the Trowel Finish is the best for exterior walls.
4.    GRC – Versatile and lightweight, this product is a mouldable finishing material suitable for decorative elevations. This consists of Birla White Cement, high silica sand, alkali resistant glass fibres and other mixtures.
