About Baby Einstein
Baby Einstein is an American multimedia and toy brand founded by Julie Aigner-Clark in 1996. The range of products sold in the market include direct-to-video programs, flashcards, CDs, books, baby gear and toys, mostly designed for children under the age of four. The company designs and develops simple puzzles, familiar shapes and objects, accompanied by classical music and or traditional rhymes to enhance a child’s brain development. Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, Disney acquired Baby Einstein in the year 2001 and took charge of its operations until the year 2013. Baby Einstein has produced some of the most well-received products in the infant entertainment sector. Many of their products went on to receive numerous accolades. Case in point, the Magic Touch Piano which was a collaboration between Hape and Baby Einstein has been a recipient of multiple awards across eight countries. Released in the year 2018, the toy piano recently won the US Cribsie Award of 2020. Other Baby Einstein toys such as ‘The Take Along Tunes’ was also awarded the title of “First Favourite Toy” by the US Cribsie Award of 2020.
At the onset, the founder Julia Aigner-Clark wanted arts to be the main focus of their products which is why the original video produced by Baby Einstein focused a great deal on music and colours. Even today, Baby Einstein products are accompanied by a great deal of classical music from composers such as Beethoven, Mozart and Bach. It must be noted, that many traditional rhymes and poems are still included to keep the children interested. Originally named as “I Think I Can Productions”, these videos were marketed in the US and multiple countries in Europe and Asia. The revenue of this company quickly grew from US$ 1 million in the year 1998 to US$ 25 million in 2001. Baby Einstein also continues to pay a royalty to Corbis, the estate of the famous scientist Albert Einstein for the use of the name ‘Einstein’. Julia Aigner-Clark went on to win the title of “Entrepreneur of the year” in the year 2009.

HORRIBLE customer support. We bought a Baby Einstein Journey of Discovery Jumper and the globe section of the toy is not working correctly.
1) phone customer support – they are closed for a holiday. What holiday is Jan15?
2) asked tech support- there I get promoted to someone asking $2 to sign up for their web scam! No Help At All!
I bought a Baby Einstein at a overstocked discount store that has many things mostly from Target. Some are salvage. I paid $3.00 for the toy fish aquarium. The batteries are good but it doesn’t play music, just the sea life moves. I buy toys there that I donate to the localteacher that helps Spanish children learn to speak English. I also send toys to the American Indians in Round Az. to a lady that teaches pre school. How can I get the schematic.? It is brand new and I hate to throw it away.
