I would not recommend the Ace Hardware Store 815 State St, Cayce, SC 29033. This store was recommended to have a key Fob programmed for our vehicle. When we arrived, they stated that because we did not purchase the Key Fob from them that they would be able to get it to work. Which we understood. The gentleman in the key section proceeded to program the key Fob. After a few times of trying to program the key fob and being unsuccessful. He proceeded to activate the Anti-Theft system on the vehicle and deactivate the original Key Fob. He then advised us that there was nothing else he could do and walked back into the store after leaving us stranded 40-45 minutes away from home. We had to contact a locksmith that Ace Hardware was not willing to pay for or help pay for due to their employee’s lack of knowledge and experience on programming the Key Fob. What should have cost me $48 ended up costing me $203. The store employee, manager, and owner were very unprofessional and unconcerned. Would they have done the same if we were an elderly couple? I will never shop there again, not even for a trash bag. HORRIBLE service.
