Hi,
I would like to state a bad experience regarding my car (Mahindra XUV 500) service with (Tvsundram Iyengar Sons Ltd Service Station Near Matha Hospital, Thellakom P.O., M.C. Road, Ettumanoor, Kottayam
Kottayam, Kerala).
There was an incident occurred near to my hometown (Pala, Kerala) in November- 2018 and due to which some amount of water upto the TRYE LEVEL was marked in the car. And the next day we contacted the service centre and as per their request, the car was TOWED to the service centre.
On initial investigation of the car, a cost of Rs.20,000 was estimated for repairs and two weeks later the amount shot up to Rs.1.60 Lakhs. Since the car was covered under bumper to bumper insurance we actually didn’t concern much about the amount. But still, we had a doubt in our mind regarding the estimate because we thought it would be a minor repair as water has not entered into the cabin even. As a layman we believed the service advisor’s word that some of the major parts needs to be replaced. Altogether they took 3 months of time for repairing and we were asked to take the delivery of the vehicle on 15-Feb-2019.
At the time of delivery we asked the technician for a test drive and while driving, the STEERING AND BRAKE WAS VIBRATING. As we felt something wrong with the car, we asked them for further investigation on the car. When we inspected the platform was filled with mud and water which was not the case when we gave it for service and the WHOLE PART STARTED TO RUST and many parts was detached from the car. It was a shocking experience for my family to see all this. The service technician was not all re to the question we asked. We finally didn’t take the car from garage and asked them to repair all those faults which we saw .We also took the photos and videos of the vehicle under this state for a proof.
Now, still we have questions in our mind which were not answered by the concerned people
1) How the dirt and mud got accumulated inside the cabin, when the water has not entered the cabin (as per I quoted in the mail). Proofs can be submitted on request.
2) How confidence can we drive the vehicle since the part started to rust? We are concerned about the SAFETY of the people travelling in the car as vehicle parts started to RUST. Visibly we could find this much faults in a time span of 30 minutes. So how can we assure about the internal parts which are not visible to the naked eye.
I am not going to take up this vehicle at any cost and for which I will move forward with this case to the extend from where I would get a justice. As this should not happen to any other person.
Thanks,
Senju Mathew Jose
I have purchased the Kuv100 (Mini SUV) with a lot of expectations but all went in vein.
In the first month itself I was able to observe the mileage which the car is giving very less than on your paper. My expectation is 13KMPL in city and 16 KMPL in Highway. But unfortunately both are not met.
When I reached out to Sales Executive(Zulaikha Motors, Chennai) and he promised me “Sir after first service mileage will improve definitely” .
And now I have done my second service at (Zulaikha Motors, Chennai, Ambatur).
After 10000 kms I have done my second service on April 15th 2018 with more complaints.
1) When apply brakes the entire car under-chassis is making huge noise.
2) Right Side pillar or window making huge noise like “tick tick” and that is unbearable while driving .
3) Rear seat doesn’t have any grip and it automatically comes out the rear passenger are really uncomfortable.
4) Steering wheel also makes more noise.
5) Another very important thing is Fuel gauge which shows is completely wrong and crap.
These 5 complaint I have said the service advisor and SA said I will give tomorrow. The next day I went to service center and Service advisor said sir everything is fixed. I made the payment and i took the delivery while driving some 3 to 4 kms itself I could hear all the same noises.
And I have called SA(Service Advisor) and he said please bring the vehicle back on coming Saturday(21st April Saturday).
I went to service center (10.30 AM) again and waited for the whole day. At 5PM SA said today we are not able to identify the issue exactly so we need the vehicle for another day.
I said right now I have planned for out of station trip and SA said okay sir you can take the vehicle now and please bring back on some other weekday.
I was little upset and called the Mahindra toll free number(22nd april) and said about the issue and requested them for good engineers or service center who could analysis and fix the issue.
The next day I got a call from Zulaikha service manager(Srinivasan) and he said I will take the vehicle and it my responsibility to fix it.
They picked the vehicle at my door step on 25th and returned on 26th saying we have fixed the issue.
And again driving few kilometers I can hear all the same crap noises. I immediately called the Service manager and again he said the same dialogue can you please bring back the vehicle to service center.
With a lot of frustration again I have visited the service center. This time they took only 4 to 5 hours and they said vehicle is ready and you can do a test drive now. Then I took a round for some 2 kilometer and I left vechicle with noise reduction.
Service manager explained like there is some issue with door beading and we have fixed it.
Service center to my home is 18 kilometers and after driving 10 kms. Again I could hear all the same noises.
Now the worst part is all the four door are making huge noise , steering wheel, under chassis, wrong fuel gauge and high vibration inside the car.
yesterday I could hear some different sound from the engine. Whoever travels with me in my car ask me the first question “why so much vibration”.
I don’t know what and all problems in the near future.
One more important thing is folks in service center ” I mean everybody” are careless. Because they think kuv100 is small car and they very dealing differently with XUV500 customers.
Yes I agree now I have bought a small car and but in future I might one of your XUV500 customer. One thing is it will take little more years to go.
That’s fine if you don’t respect me but I’m very worried about my car and this is my first car.
Please let me know where Mahindra people sit in Chennai, so that I can directly go and show the vehicle condition.
Kindly do the needful.

During the annual servicing of my Mahindra Quanto C8 2014 model car, even minor spare parts, namely rear mud guards, mobile charging socket and frame for mounting the head lights & mirrors adjustment switches, were not available, though I was assured by the service centre manager that the spare parts would be procured and replaced at my residence, but this, unfortunately has not been done. The vehicle is just four year old and the reason given to me was that spare parts of Quanto were difficult to obtain since this model is no longer being manufactured. It will be be appreciated that in the Indian environment, vehicles are not discarded or disposed off very frequently. Spare parts must therefore be available for a reasonable period.

I bought a KUV100 K2 petrol Variant. I have bought the car May-19-2017 from Srieesh Auto Bangalore and been using the car since then. As far car design is really good and good control/pick-up.
My car, getting out-side foul smell while AC is on and has rattling noise heard from inside at low speed, which is bad. At high speeds, the car goes smooth. The major problem is mileage where as I am getting only 10 km/ltr, which was informed to the dealer and it was told to me after 1st service it will get rectified. I travel nearly 50-55km every day. I bought this car seeing all reviews on multiple web sites, and took a decision thinking Mahindra had taken a bold decision to trust Indian Engineers and also can resolve these issues. As many customer has complained of mileage issues, and some customers also said it got rectified, keeping that I decided to go for kuv100 k2. While giving for 1st service it was intimated to service centre of Srieesh auto Marthahalli Bangalore, about mileage, foul smell entering in and few other problems too and they said they require the car to be left for 2 day to rectify all issues. But in 2 days I had to spend nearly Rs.2000 for commuting by ola/uber taxies. But I was in the impression that all problems gets rectified, but it was in wain. But after 1st service, mileage has not changed, it remained with 10km/ltr on city, I had followed all instructions of driving as they had said, as this is not my 1st car and I have been driving the cars past 25 years, earlier I had Maruti Alto and it was 8 year old vehicle and I was getting 17km/ltr as an average full tank to full tank. But whereas other Alto car owners and service centres was claiming you cannot get more then 14-15km/ltr. I am telling Mahindra to know that I knew how drive. Foul smell they said they need to remove dash board but, even that was not rectified. And there are other problems which are also not rectified. The problem in the car can be rectified if Mahindra has given proper training to its service engineers and proper quality assurance people in the plant, i know this is totally irresponsibility of quality personal who have not checked the car before it is out from plant. Quality is not just 6sixma or any certificate quality courses pass out, it need to come from heart to see that we Indians are not making fools of our own brothers/ sisters.
Nevertheless, the car looks good, the drive is also good. The gear shift is also very smooth and useful. But that is it. The windscreen also takes a lot of glare in the night which makes the driving at late hours uncomfortable. Headlights are also not focused well. I will recommend this car provided Mahindra puts a proper quality output and speedy action for rectifying the issues, by giving proper training and responsible.
Dear Concerned,
We had purchased a Mahindra TUV 300 last year in October. We are on June 26th today and so our vehicle has just completed 8 months as of now. The car has had a run of just 12700 km. Theses were some of the facts to share.
The vehicle today caused us major inconvenience when we were travelling from Jaipur back to Delhi after a holiday. In the middle of the highway the car engine started to heat up. On opening up the bonut we realized that the oil water and coolant apparently had got all mixed up and had splashed up on the entire engine. We looked for the nearest garage and found a Mahindra Truck and Bus service station. Once we reached there rightfully the workers refused to help us and told us to call Mahindra Road Assistance who will tow the car and check it at the workshop as it has a major engine issue.
We made our set of calls to arrange the cars tow and then had to arrange our transport back to Delhi. Now our brand new car is standing at a garage in Jaipur and we at Delhi clueless that how could it happen to a car so new. Also to mention the car was just serviced in the beginning of this month.
We are hoping that you would look into our case with sincerity and figure how such a product was sold by Mahindra to us.
We expect that you should be able to repair and arrange to send the car back to us and also clarify the issue to us urgently.
Needless to say we our shocked at your product quality and our experience.. And Whether our decision of buying Mahindra was Right… IMAGINE IF YOUR FAMILY STUCK IN MIDDLE OF HIGHWAY FOR 2 HOURS WITH BRAND NEW CAR .. AND FINALLY SPENT Rs 10000 to reach home …

Dear Sir,
My Friend having a Mahendra Scorpio (Model: VLX BS3 2WD 7SF MBFM+Hiend FiryBlack)(MFG-2010) where the RTL Sensor is fit with Front glass and unfortunately the front glass was cracked. I had visited to your dealer point and they were insisting of replacing the RTL sensor (Costing- Rs. 6979) On ground once it is fixed can not be remove and re-fixed. Hence would you please advice how far this is technically justified.
SIr, need very urgent info about KUV 100 rto. My contact number is 7047176654. I just want to know that If I purchase a car from delhi and will I be able to drive in my hometown in jharkhand.I can’t find the proper answer, so please help me.
I was compelled to place this complaint before you with regard to pace of handling the vehicles i.e. Scorpio in your workshop. I am having vehicle Scorpio bearing No.Ap5occ7700 which was a good vehicle without any complaint which vehicle was sent for repair at Kakinada workshop of East Godavari District of A.P. Instead of getting it repaired your workshop mechanics/management doubled the problem and unwarranted sounds are occurring in the vehicle. I have been sending the vehicle since 1 month for rectification. Still sounds and other problems are lingering around, when contacted your people telling and playing dilly dallying techniques and postponing the issue to get the vehicle repaired since yours is the reputed and predominant company this sough of problems should not pose and the vehicle owners should not put to unhappy.
Therefore requested to give necessary instructions or other to the concerned people. I trust the available mechanics in the workshop are not upto the mark it seems. A talented person may be deputed to the Kakinada Branch of E.G.Dist. of A.P.
Hello All,
I would like to draw attention to the service practice followed by Mahindra Dealers, which is not at par with standards.
I have called the Mahindra HelpLine and asked them for provision of Duplicate Keys, and they asked me to contact dealer for this.
When i contacted the dealers for this, the service personnal present there asked me to get lock kit exchanged instead of geeting new keys and provided me estimate of Rs.7000-8000.And i think getting Duplicate Keys is much more cheaper than this.
SO kindly look into this matter, and try to resolve it.
To management of Mahindra,
I bought a Mahindra Logan vehicle in Oct-2008 from your Dealer M/s India Garage, St marks road, Bangalore.
I have recently moved to Ahmedabad .I am in the process of Changing my registration number . As per the RTO rule I am required to submit a copy of the purchase invoice without which registration will not happen.
I am repeatedly calling up your dealers since last 16 Days to help me with the copy of invoice I am still to receive it.
Please note RTO is imposing a huge penalty on daily basis of Rs.1200/day . I am in a horrible situation with my vehicle right now as I have got the Original registration at Bangalore cancelled with NOC & the registration is not happening at Ahmedabad for want of invoice from your dealer.
I was a proud owner when I decided to tie up with Mahindra family by opting for a Mahindra car. Now I regret my decision. If I do not get necessary & immediate intervention & support I will be forced to move a PIL in customer care. I humbly request your support.

Dear Sir,

In this six month form the delivery of the said vehicle , the said vehicle has been kept in service centre for more than 3 months . I fade up with the said vehicle and I am afraid to use the vehicle because it involved danger to live and property of the public as well as the person in board. I have no intention to retain the said vehicle to invite further troubles. Please help me in exchanging the said defective vehicle for new one. I am looking for legal course to my problem , if the vehicle is not exchanged . Hello,
I got Rexton R7 in December’14. Vehicle is great to ride but after sales service that I am getting is pathetic and not satisfactory in terms of,
01. Service from the Dealer
02. I changed the dealer but still the same result in fact worst.
03. Complains of the car are not solved. I doubt do we have those experts to solve them.
So have some questions,
A. Can anybody of this group having same vehicle guide me to the garage/dealer in pune or nearby, who can take care of this?
B. Whom to report the feedback of dealer? I need a highest sitting person who can take appropriate actions on the feedback for a dealer.
Thanks for reading,
Regards,
I purchased Mahindra car Model Verito on MARCH2012 with extended warranty upto 3 years. Recently I faced some issue relating to engine performance. Average delivered by vehicle during past few months have been reduced drastically to 14-15 KM per liter and now 10-12 KMPL. While in 1st and 2nd year I was getting an average of 24-25 KMPL. I reported this online. I was happy to receive replies online advising that problem have been forwarded to relevant person who will get in touch shortly.
Than I received a call from local dealer Atmaram Motors, Agra advising to bring the car to workshop. As advised I took the car to their work shop and Mr Rahul attendend me. He took the test drive and noticed low pick up and checked for engine. On checking the same he advised that the fuel injection system is damaged and need repair/ services. At same time also said that they do not have facility for repair of same in their workshop and it will be sent to open market for repair and we need to pay Rs4000/-approx as advance in cash. We came back from the workshop and reported the same online but till date I could not receive any reply and my car remains un-attended and not repaired.
We could not understand the reasons for such negligence. Either the service provider is escaping their liability to provide services cum repairs under warranty terms or it seem someone is trying to pass by the warranty period so that we cannot avail your warranty. Is this the policy of MAHINDRA
I would therefore request you to please advise what action shall be done by us. We are writing continuously to you over mails and no reply is received. We are forced to daily sunning loss of average Rs3-4 per KM per day. Shall be move for consumer forum to get justice and services under warranty?
I await your valued replies and advise in matter.
Thanks.
Vinod Mittal
I have bought a Mahindra Scorpio on 8th August, 2014 and has done close to 4800 Kms only.
The problem I face is the complete discharge of battery if the vehicle is not used for a day. I had faced it three times since the delivery and TVS (Distributor) just get the battery recharged and deliver it back to me without resolving the actual issue or not replacing the battery. I have lost almost 11 days of my usage of vehicle due to there irresponsible behavior. Also its pathetic to say that the service center is least bothered to call the clients intimating the delivery or status update of vehicle.
I am literately demoralized by the behavior of Mahindras.
This is regarding Mahindra Maximo. I purchased it last year in Feb 2013 (not completed one year) and now it’s one of the important device got failed (ECU). Vehicle is driven less than 5000 KM from the date of it’s purchase which is very less. We dont know how it’s failed and we are not getting any satisfactory answer. Can you please look into this issue and let us know if this can be replaced for free because it is in warranty period.

I am a proud owner of Mahindra ScorpioVLX 2008 model. The vehicle is a pleasure to drive. But,to my surprise, few days back,I have noticed that the graphics on the vehicle bonnet appears to have got cracks developed and simultaneously getting faded which is very shocking to me.Kindly to resolve the matter at the earliest . Thanks Neeraj Agarwal
I got a brand new Mahindra THAR Car from your dealer in Bhubaneswar namely Utkal Automobiles ltd. On March 2013 the Front Bumper of the vehicle was not available in the showroom, when I asked them they promised me that with in a week the part will be provided to me.
Initially I was very happy with my purchase as it gave me a trouble free service.
After 1 week i called the sales person Mr. Promod Saha(+91-9437301025) he told me to contact sales manager Mr.Ravi(+91-9437964912). When i call him he forwarded me to the AGM(+91-9437058255).Agm promised me that he will provide the part as soon as possible. Till now periodically i contact every person but unfortunately i cannot receive the part. I have the capacity to buy a new Front Bumper for my vehicle. But I want to know why they are cheating me. If they require money i agree to pay. We have 13 numbers of Mahindra Vehicle.
Sir ,
Myself Gunjan and I m from Assam . I want to know what is the procedure to open a Mahindra Authorised Service Centre. Please answer me brief details along with the cost for open the service centre .
Thanking you
I own a mahindra bolero since 2011 Nov, now last month,my vehicle broke down and after you had it toed to the authorised service station, they came to a conclusion that it is a manufacturing defect and that I have a faulty chassis. My vehicle does not have any accidents major nor minor till date,so a faulty chassis is out of the question. Its been almost a month now and I still haven’t got a final word from the dealer(tvs and sons) as to when I will get my vehicle back.I had specifically told them that they should give me a spare car if it will take time but they haven’t done that either. And I also don’t understand as to why I should claim my insurance for a manufacturing defect. My vehicle reg num is KL 5 AD 6996.I have also attached the pic of the vehicle which shows its current condition at the service station.I have registered a complaint with mahindra customer care, they promised that they would revert to the issue in 24 hrs but they have failed to do so.I don’t want to escalate this to the next level and I want this issue to be sorted.
I had booked scorpio SLE on 12 Dec 12 got delivery on 18 Feb 13. I had booked the vehicle in Chennai office and Mr. Ashok ‘The Great’,the corporate Manager was taking care of the event. The delivery I received was with my regular pestering withe the marketing office in Mumbai. I had visited Mahindra n Mahindra customer care but as the great attitude should be they did not bother to contact except sending me the logo of Mahindra. Thanks. Now when I have come for the First servicing My records are not available in Mahindra Net working and my vehicle is not due for servicing. Again thanks to the Chennai office to have not fed the data in the computer. Should I thank Mr. Ashok ‘The Great’ who enjoys the pleasure or Customer Care,Not to bother to know what the customer feels. Attitude of being what we are ? “Care for Nothing”. Will Customer Care care to do any thing?
