About Zimbabwe Republic Police
Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) is the official law enforcement agency in Zimbabwe, formed in the year 1980. The force is responsible to the Ministry of Home Affairs. Currently, it has a staff of more than 50,000. As for ranks, while the Zimbabwe Republic Force is headed by the Commission-General, under him you have the Deputy-Commissioner General, Commissioner, Assistant Commissioners, Chief Superintendent, Superintendent, Chief Inspector, Inspector, Assistant Inspector, Sergeant Major, Sergeant and Police Cadet.

Headquartered at Harare, Zimbabwe Republic Police has stations and outposts spread across urban and rural areas. Each station has an Officer-In-Charge. According to the ZRP website, there are about 17 operational provinces, 42 district headquarters, 357 police stations and 104 police posts. The various specialised units within the ZRP consist of the anti stock theft, canine unit, criminal investigation department, cycle patrol unit, forensics, mounted unit, sub aqua unit, tourist police unit and national traffic branch.
