Situated in Newark, New Jersey, the Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) was established in 1928. Originally dubbed the Newark Metropolitan Airport, the airport serves as a boundary between the cities of Elizabeth in Union County and Newark in Essex County, New Jersey. It is also 7.2 kms away from Downtown Newark, thereby being a major gateway for passengers travelling from around the globe including Latin America, Asia, Europe and Oceania countries.

Since the Newark Liberty International Airport is the second-busiest airport after the JFK International Airport in the United States, more than 29 million passengers are served annually (as of 2021). As a result, the airport has been divided into three primary terminals, namely Terminals A, B and C. There are a total of 121 passenger gates with Terminal A having 29 gates, Terminal B having 24 gates and Terminal C having 68 gates. Additionally, each terminal is also divided into three concourses of their own. For instance, Terminal A has concourses named A1, A2 and A3.
