After waiting over 3 months for my shipment of personal items to clear customs I am at a loss what kind of company Fedex is in Indonesia. I write emails and contact them, only to be told to wait. Recently they don’t even bother to respond. There is no information regarding any issues or payment. I simply have to wait several months for items that took less than 7 days to be sent by airmail; only to sit and languish in some warehouse.
As most of the items were clothes and shoes for personal use – I’m larger in size than the average person here – it has ended up costing me money to replace them. Excess baggage really. Like everyone else has complained, there is no pick up on the number above.
Hundreds of pounds down the drain. No apology and poor communication. I do not understand why I have not had any communication yet again after sending the requested evidence multiple times. At this juncture I am inclined to suggest that Fedex, as an international company with global obligations, has shown breach of duty under these circumstances. My shipments declared monetary value is low as it is mainly used personal items, but the negligence being shown is inconceivable. In addition I have items with no monetary value but personal value. For instance, some of my pictures are included, some that I do not have scanned or backed up copies. If the boxes had been opened, this would have been obvious by now. I do not know what is happening and there has been no communication or explanation which makes me wonder what the agenda is, as the items arrived in the country over 3 months ago (over 13 weeks). I have not been asked to pay any small fee, plus there has been no information on items deemed to be unsuitable to bring into the country. On the latter I am confident there is no issue.
This may be the worst company I have ever hard to deal with in my life; And I have traveled extensively in over 30 countries and dealt with numerous individuals and companies.
I’m from Indonesia and I received a package from China. Until now I haven’t received the package because they said that I have to pay for custom clearance fee. And I asked them where should I transfer the money. They said that they will email me their account number. I have called them for about five times from yesterday and I haven’t received any email yet. They kept repeating the same answer for me. I mean what is so difficult for sending an email? I won’t use Fedex Indonesia anymore. Never!
Yesterday someone from your company phoned to advise that there is a clearance delay with our delivery.tracking # 805610068648
They advised that they would send an email informing us of the amount we must pay in fees to get the goods released – but we have received no email
Can you please advise how much we must pay and if we can make the payment at the Fed EX office here in Bali
– can you provide the contact information for the office in Bali so we can get this sorted as quickly as possible
Thank you
Do you know, the address of FedEx in Jakarta And the phone number too, Thanks
I sent an external hard drive from SF USA to Jakarta. It is supposed to arrive on Feb 8, 2013. Until today, 2/15/13 it’s still at Cengkareng. What the hell is going on? Nobody notifies me or call sme in Jkt. It’s true next time DO NOT EVER SEND ANYTHING. It’s my personal use, not for resale, it has my work data that I need to work on for deadline. John was right, I called both numbers and has been busy and asked me to try every few minutes.
I strongly advise anyone against sending anything by FedEx to Indonesia. Their local agent RPX will collect an additional fee for delivery and provide an extremely poor service. If you try phoning them you could be on hold for half an hour or more. Similarly they will take a week or more to reply to emails. Better to use another courier. I have also used DHL and they are much more efficient. FedEx may be a bit cheaper, but it’s not worth the hassle.
yes…actually nobody picks up the phone. i just tried to call the call center no 021 75998800 and only for hearing the advertising of RPX. huhhh…..

I have not received the packet sent to me on 4th of June 2012 with a tracking number 793637558477. Why so long for a small delivery? That too from a reputed company such as yours.
Dear Fedex, It’s to complaint poor shipment handling that happened to my packet 899170063398 from Vietnam today. Once I know the packet already released from custom at Cengkareng port then directly I made call to Fedex Customer Service;handled by Dimas and Novi, I remind them and told this packet is priority and urgent for Coca-Cola, I asked them to prevent any mis-delivery allocation, but actually the packet went to Kebon Jeruk not directly to Pondok Pinang. This case was impacting on trust from my director. I will share this issue to my suppliers at Vietnam not to use Fedex for further shipments.
