Just wondering why Costco hires managers who treat not only their staff but the members who pay to shop at your locations like crap? Zac at your Ancaster Ontario location has made my senior citizen mother cry while he yells at her “I’ve listened to you now stop talking and listen to me” he talks to her like that again and he’s going to have ME to answer to. I’ve witnessed myself first hand where he talks to his staff like they are pieces of garbage. I’ve inquired with other employees at other departments as to how he still has a job and they are just as baffled. I’m a regular customer around the store and known by many, I wish there was something I could do to help them. No one gets paid enough to deal with the likes of him. Maybe the news media would be interested in knowing how such a big great corporation well loved treats their pharmacy members and employees.
Good morning. I had a similar situation last night with a manager named Paul at the heritage location.
I’m a disabled senior and the way I was treated was horrible. He made feel so small. And as heart patient, I couldn’t stop crying. It lasted for a long time, and I had no choice to take heart medicine.
Today I talked to head office about it . I don’t know if that would take this matter anywhere. I told them he’s was a bully and I’m not going to stand with that.
Bought a Viva water cooler at Costco in St Albert . We had it for about 3.5 years and the cooling mechanism stopped working. I took it back to the store with the intention of returning the item and purchasing another one. I was told that the return was at the managers descretion and that the nanager that day would not accept the return. I was told that a different manager may have accepted the return but not this particular day. The costco return policy “legend” is jusy that. Cosyco has the same poor customer service and quality control as any other store, They need to update their return policy to reflect this. The policy posted on line does not apply.
I attempted to order Mothers Day flowers for my mother in Winnipeg. Friday the 12 th delivery requested, and 3 days later they are still sitting on a UPS shelf, no urgency to deliver. So now that there probably wilted, Mother’s Day is over, Costco has my money and has been totally unhelpful in getting this resolved, I leave it to you to decide if Costco online shopping is anything but an unmitigated diaster

I’ve heard a rumour that a second location of Costco will be opening in the Greater Moncton area, is this true? FYI
If the alleged store were to open on Dieppe Blvd across from Kent, you’d have a shopper in me! I love Costco and your products but I refuse to shop at the store in Moncton. From the parking lot being badly planned to the small feeling inside the doors, I hate it and it gives me great anxiety! Please strongly consider this addition. To be sure you understand…I have almost been taken out twice by cars turning right in that parking lot on Mapleton. This does not ensure a happy shopping experience. It has been over 5 years since I shopped in your store. I do wish to go back someday. ??
Bought a bag of Yellowfin tuna of the brand name Olivia yesterday. I pan fried two tuna fillets, and started cutting them and saw there were several reddish color flat worms. It was very disgusting, I have thrown them away. We need to be very careful eating any seafood bought from Costco.
I have been purchasing Urban Star mens jeans for several years and was always proud that they were made in Canada. I would recommend them to friends because of that. I had not looked at the label for some time and yesterday noticed they are now made in Pakistan. When and why did that change? Sad that we can’t buy Canadian when we want to.
My complaint is about the Fredericton Tire Centre at Costco. I was driving my Toyota Sienna Van about 3 months ago and the tire sensor came on so I drove to the bay doors of the Costco Tire Center. This was about 7 pm and the shop was empty and this young employee came out to see what was wrong. I told him about the sensor and he said its normal with change of temperature for tires to lose or gain air. When he was checking he found two small screws in the passenger front Michelin tire. He said he would take it in the shop and fix it and that I could wait inside so I went in. And hour went by and I asked the girl at the desk how he was doing and she said oh he is just making sure the fix is up to Michelin Tires standards. I had looked into the shop several times and he looked like he had ran into trouble as he kept going over to the tire with a light. He then came in the sitting room and said he was all done. I left but over the next several months I returned as the sensor kept coming on and when I wasn’t putting air in the shop was but I was told that Is normal because of the hot weather. Six weeks ago I made and appointment for and oil change and tire rotation and balance. Yesterday at 5:30 pm I took the van for the oil change and tire rotation and balance and I also referred to the problems I was having with this tire they fixed. The oil change did not happen but that is another story but after almost 2 hours the girl at the desk ” Nicole ” said I have to replace that tire as it is unsafe to drive as the puncture holes are too close together. I once again informed her that the person 3 months back left the tire like that and said it was fixed. This Nicole person was not very nice about this situation and said oh well you still have to purchase a tire. I said go ahead and order one and then she said it will be in on Monday which is Dec.12th and this appointment was on Dec.9th. I said so I can come in and have it put on and she said no that the next appointment date would be Dec.27th. I had waited 6 weeks then another almost 3 hrs. already and she said oh well. I said I will be reporting this incident to head office and she said fine. One of the tire techs came from in the shop to talk to me about how dangerous the tire on the van is and because the new Toyota vans do not have spare tires he put some type of sealer on the holes so it could hold air until I can get another tire put on. I also explained to him that this repair was done 3 months earlier by and employee in their shop and they checked and it was on record in their computer.
I have a disability and its visible and when the Costco employee did a wrong fix on my tire 3 months earlier he put my family plus my life in danger. I am not asking for new tire but Costco should of offered to replace the tire free of charge without any questions asked. All the info I have provided here is well documented plus there is parts of this I could not get down here but would be easier to explain by phone or in person. I have always bought my tires and had my oil changed at Costco and I am sure that Costco would not want something like this to be treated in this manner. I am totally shaken up after this visit to the tire centre.
I want to make it known I am absolutely fed up with the service at the pharmacy on 50th St south of 137 Ave Edmonton. I moved my prescriptions to Costco about four years ago and can count the times on one hand I have been able to walk in and pick up my prescriptions without problems. They have lost my prescription, forgot to fill it, gave it to another customer..the list goes on and on. I am to the point where I am going to move my prescriptions to another vendor. I am a senior, the store is very difficult to access and parking is very hard to find. Then to go in and be told no prescription ready for me is very frustrating. I have had three friends recently move their prescriptions from Costco. The other day I waited 12 min behind a lady who was waiting for her prescription, which they had lost and had to go through every bag to find. The lineup behind me got longer and longer but no one bothered to come help on another cash register. After the wait I find out they had not filled my order. Beyond Ridiculous.
For releasing your prescription to someone else, and all else you mentioned, you may submit a complaint to the Ontario College of Pharmacists if you know the pharmacist’s name. They will be the people who issue fines and regulate the pharmacist’s license to practice. What they have done to you is a serious breach of confidentiality and a bunch of other rights of yours.
Can anyone confirm whether or not Capital One has any affiliation with the funding of DAPL? Citibank has been identified as a supporter as have many other financial institutions. I can find no information on Capital One.
I do have one issue that may or may not ever happen. It would be great if Costco carried more low sodium and or low sugar products, specifically jams and soda crackers. I keep looking to see if any of those crackers are “salt free” but no far, none are. I’m sure there are other products that some people may be looking for. Since my husband is diabetic, I have to check for sugar and salt content with things I buy. Thank you.
I’m so happy that I don’t have the unfortunate negative comments above to add about our Costco. Ours is at Bayers Lake in Halifax and we get nothing but the friendliest service there whether it’s at the cash register or on the floor. Love Costco and go there often. Love your return policy. Never a problem at your refund counter.
We shopCostco frequently and have had no problems until today. We were at the checkout and I waited for “Sandra” to tell me that I could go ahead and use my debt card. Not one word out of her mouth but pointed her finger at me. I asked for a manager at the exit and they phoned for one. They said “here she comes”. I said”the one wearing the pink top”. They confirmed it was her. The look on the manager face scared me a bit. I said “Hi”. She said”What is your problem?”. Not …How may I help you? I told her what had happened at the checkout, with me pointing my finger and the manager said”Don’t point your finger at me”. I told the manager that I would be taking this up with head office. All I got was punching different steps on the phone. Never did it lead me to a person on the other end. Frustrated and insulted and ignored lead me to write down my complaints. Contacted Ian at 1pm and told him of the situation and he said that they would have a talk with them and that I would not be informed of their decisions. I just want Sandra, Crystal(person in pink top) terminated immediately. Ian(other manager at Costco) did try to help me, but was told I would not know what happens to them. Other than going in and seeing for myself that they are not there, I am hoping that my email will be read and that I will be notified. Bad day,not feeling good or whatever excuses people give does not ease the customer. The Costco we shop at is 50th Street south of 137Avenue in Edmonton, Alberta.
We were at Costco in Oshawa on Ritson Road. Samples of Tide Pods were being given out. As I reached for one I was asked if I was an Executive Card Holder. I was stunned. So does that mean I have to get an Executive Membership (which will cost me more) to obtain certain samples in the store. That is no fair and this policy better change. All Costco members should be treated equally as far as getting store samples. I hope someone looks into this ridiculous policy a.s.a.p. Thank you.
Cosco downtown Vancouver 10:am wed June 29 2016 I arrive at door 9:30 am not open these people think they are a bank they don’t open till 10:am I came by bus it’s not open I recently had a prostate operation so when I need the bathroom I need it fast as I have trouble holding my water just now. But I waited till the doors opened the thug at the door covered in tattoo’s with his diamond stud in his ear had the same arrogant smug smirk on his face that he had when he served me as cashier a couple of days before. I wonder if you people train your employee’s or they get out on day pass or you wait till their paroled. I spoke to some Asian manager or at least he said he’d speak to the employee later I doubted this would ever happen said he was a manager I had my doubts and later told him I’d be contacting corporate Cosco in writing he did not seem to mind. I’ve noticed a very poor attitude in this store I spend a lot of money every month in Cosco buying meat, bread, even my eye glasses, clothing, but the more that I see of the arrogant attitude I’m beginning to wonder if I’ll renew my membership next year if the attitude of these employee’s is not corrected.
Thanks Costco for having a live person check the handicapped stickers at your Burlington,On. store………BRAVO!
People park there all the time & sprint into the store, BMW’s & very able bodied people while I cannot find a parking spot & leave…….I have guillain Barre & use a walker.
I only wish all stores did this & gave a ticket or towed & they would NOT park there, thanks Again! Much appreciated!
Absolutely appalled with the level of customer service shown by Costco and this is not the first time. I ordered an outdoor dining set online which I thought was a really good deal for the item and additionally ordered a cover to go with it. 4 days later I found out that the dining set had been cancelled due to it being mispriced although they had already dispatched the cover which was clearly ordered to supplement the dining set. On my wife contacting the customer service she was dealt with extremely rudely by a woman who couldn’t care less and offered absolutely zero support. We sold our old dining set thinking that we were getting a new one but now only have a cover that is absolutely no use and that we have to go out of our way to take back to get a refund. I will certainly not be renewing my membership with Costco once it expires and will take my business elsewhere in future. I would suggest as a company that you look at the customer care and aftercare side of your business as quite frankly it is the worst that I have ever dealt with.
Awful customer service from an obviously irritated cashier near the exit area of downtown Montreal’s Costco. We weren’t even served by her, but got berated and yelled at before leaving.
We were waiting for my elderly father near the food court area. He is hard of hearing and was returning from the bathroom, when we saw him go back into the crowd. For fear of losing him, I ran back to get him, along with my mother, and passed behind one cashier to get to him while he was still in plain view.
She berated us on the way out, yelling quite loudly and very impolitely. We ignored her comment, based on her very poor attitude. When I felt that was inconsiderate, seeing her commiserate loudly with the staff packing boxes, I returned and spoke up to her. I placed my hand on her shoulder and leaned in to explain that I was helping my elderly father. At which point, she loudly yelled ‘don’t touch me ma’am’!
This was a young lady that clearly did not know how to treat customers and I have a right mind to go back and make an official complaint regarding her personally. She worked today, on May 1st, 2016 and cannot describe her in more detail than wearing a dark t-shirt and with a very visible skin condition on her face. I am just appaled at this terrible behaviour, and have never received this type of treatment at Costco before.
The staff are always friendly, easy to accommodate and know how to treat customers. Please make note of this specific cashier, as I will in person on my next visit.
Thank you.

I joined Costco in London ON in Jan. of this year. Love the bargains. My issue is about the e-mails I receive. The on-line sale ones are fine but the weekly preview of the sales that week come in BUT there is just a blank page–no products. This is the one I really want to see as it contains the sale items for more frequently used items… BUT I have yet to see anything on it but a blank page.
I am concerned about the Easter Lilies being sold here in Winnipeg Manitoba. They are poisonous to felines, and can cause death in a very short amount of time. It would not hurt to put a warning on these plants, for those of us who love to buy this particular flower to celebrate, not just Easter, but the beauty of the flower itself. Would you kindly consider this?
It would be nice if Costco could carry Protein Powders that do not contain any artificial ingredients like Sucralose. With all this change to offering organic products in Costco’s stores, I can’t believe they still offer products with artificial and toxic sweeteners. Please offer Protein Powders that are natural… it does not have to be organic at twice the price but at the very least natural without garbage added. I can add my own sugar if I want and anyone who does not want sugar can use whatever he/she wants.
All the pharmacies I have been to in Canada allow me the courtesy to ask them how much it will cost for my prescription in case I cannot afford all of it at once! You are the only pharmacy that I know of in Canada that will not do this. I’ve been told this is called a dummy prescription by Ronda at the heritage pharmacy Calgary Alberta. I explained I cannot blindly pay for something, I may not have the money, she said they’re too busy but on this one particular occasion she might do it as a courtesy. A pharmacy that is not friendly is not approachable a pharmacy that makes mistakes like this one giving wrong prescriptions which has been done on a couple of occasions with me is not really a great thing either this needs to be looked into. Being approachable is the most important thing for a pharmacy to be, it helps prevent mistakes and allows people to let you know if there’s an issue! In pharmacies you can cut down on certain prices for mess but you can never cut down on professional caring and understanding people to do this job.
I found a nice jacket at Costco, but unfortunately they did not have my size in the St. Catharines store, so my daughter picked one up in the Burlington store for me and to my disappointment, it is very small and I find that unusual as I have bought several clothing items at Costco in the same size and they fit well. Could you please tell me what to do as I don’t have a receipt as someone else picked it up. I like the jacket and just need another one that might fit better.
I received extremely poor customer service during my last shopping trip at Costco woodbine store(toronto), which took place on Aug 1, 2015 at approximately 11:43 a.m.
While paying, I give my membership card to cashier, and my husband give his credit card to pay. The cashier checked my membership card and refuse to access my bill. The reason is the membership card is not belong to my husband, so my husband can’t pay the bill. We explained my husband left his card at home, and let her check if my husband have the membership. She called super to check and the fact is as we told her. But she still not satisfied. She told my husband she need check his driver lic. She said that my husband may use other people’s credit card. We wordless at that moment. After hard paying my bill, I complain to the super, the funny things happened, all the supers said the same thing, they have rights to check my husband’s photo ID. Finally, they let us to cancel our membership if we want. We canceled our membership and will never shop at there.
Your staff let me know that costoc are big company so don’t care what I feel and at the whole time they didn’t show me the policy of membership which said my husband can’t pay my bill.

I would like to thank Raheem Savja for his great customer
service! I broke the frame for my glasses and need to wear
them all the time. they were not reparable but Raheem spent
a lot of time finding a frame that my lenses would fit in.
If he had not done this for me I would have had a wait of up to 10 days to replace my broken frame.
Thanks again for all your help
I would like to send out a big THANK YOU to all your staff at the Downsview location. Friday night I was shopping, came home and when I noticed I had lost my 20th Anniversary ring. The next morning I went back and nothing was turned in. I went thew all the arears I was shopping in and nothing. The staff was very helpful and encouraged me to keep calling everyday something might turn up. Sure enough I called again on the Sunday and the Manager Frank asked me to describe the ring. When I did he said someone had returnd it.
Please send out a Big thank you to the statt and most of all the person that returned something very close to my heart. Thank You.
Hi, I bought a Kirkland cashmere sweater there in Dec. on a gift card from my mom.
I do have a costco membership.
The cashmere sweater I bought has completely balled and I’ve only worn it twice. I bought this thinking it would not end up like a cheap sweater as the cost was nearly $60.00. However, it looks like crap. I do not have my receipt (sorry) can you locate the transaction via my AMEX Costco account? I’d like to return it as I’m very displeased with the product.
Appalling service at Oshawa Costco. Employees in the Membership area socializing while long line of customers waiting for returns assistance.
Arrived 40 minutes early to the Prince George, BC store as I wasnt sure what time it opened. Parking lot looked pretty full so I thought the store was opened. To my surprise, it was all staff cars. WTH. Staff taking up all the spots in front of the tire centre. Any employer knows that its respectful to their customers that your employees have designed parking either at the back of the store or at the far side. No…Not in Prince George. They take up all the close parking spots and leave their customers struggling with shopping carts in the snow. Way to go Costco.
I have never seen guys take as many breaks as the ones in your tire service centre in Etobicoke. I dropped my car off at 930 and there were 10 cars in front of me. Over 2 hours later, I am still waiting. Every time I walk by the service bays, they are all standing around socializing and now they are on a smoke break. I should have gone to Active Green and Ross…. They hustle there to get you out in a reasonable amt of time.
Kind regards,
Julie
