Hi There,
Yesterday, 0118/17, i went to your Safeway store in Taraval
St., San Francisco, California.
Here is what happend; I wanted to buy about 10 lbs of the ribeye. As it was only in roast form, I asked your meat man,
Sal, if he could cut the roast into steak form AND if he could
place them on on 2 separate trays for me (as steaks). He said that he can
ONLY do the cut up steaks and place them in one plastic cover with 2 trays under the meat and I will be the one to put them into the 2 separate trays as I asked. I told him that is not what i want, and repeated my request that they be placed directly into 2 separate trays. He again answered that what he said is the only thing he will do. I told him to go ahead but I will go to customer service to correct this. He confirmed that I should go to customer service.
At customer service, your Gregory was very nice. As he knew the problem from me, he directly went to the meat department to have it done. … and it was done in no time! Gregory said something like it may just be a communication problem … I informed him that i do not believe that as i asked the meat person twice and he even confirmed that I go to customer service to fix the problem.
Your meat person simply needs training to accept allowable and reasonable customer requests and not merely to dictate of what he wants to do. He definitely does not understand this. He was not also wearing any name tag (is this your normal practice now?)
I bought the ribeye mentioned here, reluctantly.
This is a constructive criticism that i hope you will acknowledge, at the very least, and let me know of your actions to be taken. I have nothing against this meat person, I just want to have an on-going pleasant experience with Safeway like all these years.

Note:
I am also surprised that this customer service counter does not have any of your pre-printed customer feedback forms that you used to have since way before, that may be used for purposes like this.
