About VitalChek
VitalChek is a company that offers nationwide service to order certified government-issued records in the US. Launched in 1987, VitalChek is the leading authorized resource for ordering official copies of government-issued birth, death and marriage certificates. The company partners with hundreds of government agencies across the country. It delivers millions of important documents each year. Through the VitalChek Express Certificate Service, citizens are provided a swift way to order vital records. The service has minimal fees, along with affordable shipping options.
The company claims to be the only direct authorized service provider to issue certified records. All the agencies’ requirements are maintained in the VitalChek database. Ordering apparently takes less than 10 mins. The website only charges the actual cost of the document, besides a minimal VitalChek processing fee ranging from $2 – $16 and the shipping costs. Shipping is taken care by USPS, UPS, or FedEx. Standard delivery takes 7-10 business days, you can however expedite it for delivery within 3-5 business days.
Note that most locations will only provide certificates to members of the person’s immediate family, just in case you want to order records of parents or siblings. The records, which can be ordered using Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express cards, contain registrar’s embossed multicolored seal, registrar’s signature, and the date the certificate was filed with the registrar’s office. After you have placed an order, you can manage the same by entering the order number and PIN found in your email or order receipt.
VitalChek connects nearly 400 vital records agencies across the United States. States include Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin. Residents can contact VitalCheck’s parent company LexisNexis for other useful services like background check, family history, notary services, passport services and real estate records. For more information or queries on branch locations, payment, shipping, career/jobs, or others, reach the VitalChek support.
