About Venmo
Venmo is a mobile payment processing service launched in the year 2009. Available for web, iOS and Android platforms, Venmo is owned and operated by PayPal, Inc. Through the Venmo app, users can transfer and receive money with ease. You can pay using cash in Venmo or link bank account or debit card for easy debit. Users can share a bill, pay each other for rent, among others. It is also easy to transfer money from Venmo to your bank account.
In the app, users can add as many friends they would like to pay or charge. You can choose to request or pay. If sending a payment through web, just like PayPal you can input the recipient, amount and a note. Venmo is designed for payments between friends and known associates.
Paying for a good or service to unknown persons are not recommended. It is possible that Venmo could reverse payments should there be a request for review. If you have paid someone by mistake, you can send a charge request for the same amount of payment. Once the amount has been returned to your Venmo balance, you can then transfer to your bank account. There is a weekly rolling limit for money you can send using Venmo. There are also limits for non-verified users.
Millions of businesses accept Venmo on their mobile website or in their app. New business owners can register to take advantage of Venmo’s payment processing technology. For more information or queries on payment, refund, cancellation, or others, reach the Venmo support.
I sent money to myself to venmo from my bank of America like I’ve done several times before. Now they closed my account without telling me why and are holding all funds for 180 days for “loss prevention”. They sent me an Email saying that all communications were cut off with me and there was nothing I could do about it. No one but my account specialist “jarod” can help me. It’s been 60 days and I’m still waiting!
My account has been deactivated and my funds are being “held” for 180 days. I use my account as I should, between friends and family for paybacks on items. I have not went against any policies. No one will reply to my emails, phone operators are “unable to assist”. Do I need to take legal action and get media coverage in order to get this resolved? We are talking $2000 taken from me, a mom of three kids under the age of 4 with medical bills rolling in from a recent illness post covid.
I’m in Texas and a charity group sent money for assistance during the freeze …. money is still frozen after the snow and melted and I’m still waiting. The hold release date has come and gone and the money is still not available to me but it’s in the acct I can see it but get a denial every time I go to transfer it out and I don’t have a balance owned to Venmo
I sent some money to someone that has a Venmo account from my Venmo account and they did not receive it yet it’s been over five days and it shows that it’s missing from my personal bank account
