I have a Go 520 with Wi-Fi and lifetime maps and speed cameras. Suddenly the speed cameras and other warnings have stopped. I have done a re-set, reinstalled My Drive and checked that speed cameras etc are all switched on in settings. Still nothing.
I have the Bluetooth on for phone calls AND My drive via my iPhone. It has always worked perfectly for the past year and then suddenly I got no warnings for any speed cameras or anything else. I have checked my status and it says both maps and speed cameras are “active”.

I only see the ‘Andorra’ speed camera’s installed on your device. Can you connect your device to Wi-Fi and go to Main Menu> Settings> Updates & New Items> Tap on ‘Speed Camera update’> Select UK in the country list to update.
Once you do this, give it a test run to see if it works again.

Your solution will not work: I go to main menu, then Settings, then Updates and New Items and it simply says “Your TomTom Go 520 is up to date!”
There is no other option and certainly not to change countries. I ONLY have Great Britain and Ireland maps so how can I possibly have speed cameras for Andorra? Andorra is not even listed as a country for which I could get speed cameras on your website.
I would be very grateful for a PROPER solution to my problem.
I have two of your products,ย an XL and another, model 4EN42 Z1230.ย The latter does not work.ย After several years in a drawer I plug it into my computer to power it up and after 24 hours give up.ย It refuses to fire up.ย As for the XL it was always a problem.ย Sometimes I have to wait ages to get it to switchย on;ย is there a problem with your on/off switches?ย ย I took off the maps of Europe which were pre-installed and put on a map of the southern states of America.ย Presumably they are still installed.ย ย The maps of western Europe were on my laptop however my wife accidentallyย poured a glass of rosรฉ wine over the keyboardย which washed them out.ย ย Today I tried to install the map for western Europe only to find that I cannot install maps for the XLย I cannot even buy one!
I need a reliableย GPS.ย I also want a dash cam so naturally I looked to TomTom.ย ย When the devices workย they are fine.ย ย However I cannot believe you do not produce a combined dash cam/ GPS.ย This is a market you are daft to exclude.
Please advise on my defunct GPS devices.ย ย Shall I throw them in the bin?ย I have had to order a new GPS with built in dash cam.ย This I have ordered from Garmin.

I purchased a TomTom VIA 52 in the United Kingdom with the intention that once in Canada I would purchase a Canada and United States map for use while I was here.
After paying for the maps five days ago I have been frustrated with downloading procedure. I have tried leaving my computer and satnav on as instructed for several hours but to no avail. It starts to download and then says that I have no internet connection when I have. MyDrive Connect says that I am not connected but my TomTom says that I am connected.
I have tried several times to download the maps and even received a notification saying that the MyDrive connect center is experiencing difficulties and they are sorry.
For several days of my vacation, I have been trying to download the required maps and through frustration, I went and bought a Garmin and downloaded the latest update without any hassle.
I was told the TomTom sat nav was better than the others by a mile and that is why I bought one. It may be better than the Garmin sat nav, but the downloading leaves a lot to be desired.
In closing, I would like you to refund the purchase price for the maps that I did not receive and credit my Capitol one card in the amount of $73.39 Canadian. Order number 408437463
OK, I just tried calling the customer support number for TWO different locations: All had a voice message that the office was closed and to try again during working hours… THIS WAS DURING WORKING HOURS! Is this company for real? They don’t even let you email their customer support, instead you need to go through a stupid menu only to find out that you can only go to the forum, NO SUPPORT. Horrible business model for the 21st century.
Tom Tom cannot find a way out of Ancona, Italy! Twice now in three months Tom Tom has driven us crazy trying to find our Hotel 6km outside Ancona, in stead it sends us round the bend indefinitely. Booking.com provides a Google app. for our Hotel which worked perfectly both times. We’ve started relying more and more on Google maps: it’s a faster response, more detailed information, more reliable and FREE! If you’re thinking of buying a Tom Tom DON’T! Use Google maps and save money, time and stress. Try complaining to Tom Tom, you can’t! Their email instructions for my complaint is about as easy as trying to get out of Ancona using their Sat Nav! Which is why I am complaining here. If Tom Tom bothers to read these blogs, please email me with plausible explanations for Tom Tom’s failure to navigate Ancona and your complaints procedure. Please don’t say click on ‘Support’ then ‘Contacts’, you know they don’t work. Another example of Corporate impenetrability…
After updating my tomtom go 2405 about a week ago the first time I used it after I had spinning sprocket like thing that didn’t stop. After waiting afew minutes I shut it off waited abit and started it again saw the spinner briefly got it set up to destination, proceeded on my way and it shuts itself off. It has been doing this every time I use it and its very frustrating because I just moved and don’t know my way around yet and am relying on it. Ive used it in 2 different vehicles and it happens with both. It has no regularity to the shut off timing of this either.

I recently replaced my old TomTom Start 60/6 to a Start 62. When I updated my speed camera I have done something wrong and I have put the 1.5 year subscription on the old device. I only noticed as when I was updating my TomTom it said my speed camera subscription had expired.
Is there anyway of transferring the subcription to my new device? The speed camera subscription is valid until the 2019-02-04.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I use and enjoy my TOM TOM fitness tracker,but have had continuous problems with the straps.The original strap which came with the unit lasted without any problems for eight months of contiuous use,running,gym workouts etc. Since then I have replaced the strap 3 times ,each strap has lasted around 3 to 4 weeks, and all have broken at the same point. I have purchased genuine Tom Tom straps from reputable companies and note they are made in Taiwan. Is it possible to replace the strap with a more durable unit as I have bought four straps to date which have all broken. understandably I’m am disappointed as my unit is only a year old. Everything else about my fitness band is great.
I purchased the Spain and Portugal maps for around $74 and they are essentially useless. They can find cities, but very few actual adresses, and they send you down non existent roads including a pedestrian walkway in Bilbao.
I want a refund.
Hi TomTom I have been using a TomTom for years and have just downloaded the app for my iPhone. However, I am unable to “upgrade”, first it says my purchase has been done then it says purchase failed. I would be very disappointed if I have to go to another nav system after all these years.trying to contact your support department by email but whenever I try to log-in (which I have to, to email you) it tells me either my account disabled or password wrong – PS I can log in to my normal TomTom account.

I own a Tomtom Spark CArdio + Music and used to have Garmin Foreunner for a long time.
My watch strap broke at the point where it near the GPS receiver. This is rather disappointing considering the watch is meant for regular use. Per New Zealand’s Consumer Guarantees Act law, this product must be fit for the purpose and must last a reasonable lifetime. The watch is just under 2 years old.
I am unable to log in to customer support due to a password error but my password is correct as I am able to login to mysports connect.
It would be much appreciated if you could kindly replace my large size strap watch at no cost.

My wife and I recently purchased the Sweden map from Tom Tom for our overseas holiday. When in Sweden we found the Tom Tom map did not work. No matter what address we put in, the Tom Tom map always started from Stockholm, yet we were much further north. I believe Tom Tom should refund the cost of the map. We have used Tom Tom for a number of years. This is our first fail.
Hey tomtom… I can log in just fine to mysports connect, but when I attempt to contact customer service it asks me to relogin and tells me my login isn’t valid / the password is wrong.
That isn’t my real issue though… my problem is the little square ring that surrounds the control button popped off and is lost… so my watch is effectively useless until that is replaced. I made it to 2 years… but just want to purchase a replacement ring.

I received an email from your repair dapartment Amsterdam saying the repair would cost 105 euros as it was not covered by the warranty. Could you please investigate this as the unit is only ten months old and has never been abused or tampered with they did not even say what was wrong. I am not very happy with this situation as it seems the unit is not fit for purpose and sold with a warranty that on the face of it is worthless and I have been a loyal customer for many years if this can not be resolved could I please have your managing directors email address.

I just acquired a brand new Tom Tom GO 6100 and just don’t like it….Its totally different than my 2050 World. So my brand new Go6100 is still in the box.

I have a TomTom XL IQR GPS, which I’ve had for years and I can’t use the maps that were purchased for the device, because it hasn’t been updated for some time and is missing drivers. I didn’t realise this when I bought the maps. I’ve had to buy a new TomTom GPS with lifetime maps, which has left me out of pocket. Is it possible to get a full refund of $89.95 for the maps I purchased, but couldn’t use? Please help!

My Tom Tom lifetime maps were canceled because you could not read the receipt. I have been trying to contact someone for months to upload or fax a copy of my receipt. Can someone please contact me so that I can rectify this issue.
Your lifetime of maps needs looking at my tom tom 40 takes me down one way streets.when do you update them as those streets have been one way for at least since i have lived in derby years.
I purchased a tomtom with lifetime map updates. I updated the map 1 time and since then we have moved and cannot find the usb cord to update the gps through our computer and do not remember what email was used when I registered the device. As I do appreciate that there is security put in place for individuals who aquire gps systems in unlawful ways this is not the case in my circumstance. I remember where I purchased my tomtom and for what occasion. I spoke to cs and they told me without knowing what email address I used there was nothing they can do. I am highly upset that because I dont know what email I used about 4-5 years ago that I cannot update my gps system. Again I appreciate the security that tom tom has in place but there has got to be an alternative solution for individuals to be able to access the lifetime maps. When registering other info was collected other than an email. I’d appreciate some kind of resolution so I can continue to use my gps as I did pay quite a few bucks to purchase this device and was never told I should remember such trivial info for the rest of my life to be able to update.
We have TomTom Via 280 with lifetime Australian Maps in it. We also purchased additional European Map.
The European map was probably not current anyway as we found a few mistakes especially in regards to Czech republic.
At any rate it BADLY needs to be updated.
How can I get it updated?

I own Via 280 navigator bought in Australia. About two years ago I bought Map Of Central Europe from them. It was obviously an out-dated version by then so it needs to be updated.

I have managed to change the device for the old to the new and downloaded the updates this new tomtom needed but as to register it I am not able to find out how to do it. For some strange reason, our TomTom doesn’t allow us to input certain addresses. If you look up IKEA in Atlanta– 441 16th Street NW– the Tom Tom only allows from 1-399. There are a few more blocks on the map that aren’t available.
