About The Dubai Mall
The Dubai Mall is a popular shopping destination in Dubai, UAE. One of the largest malls in the world, the Dubai Mall opened in the year 2008 and is developed and owned by Emaar Properties. Spread across 54,00,000 sq ft, the mall boasts of 4 floors, 1,200 plus stores and over 14,000 parking spaces. In 2015, the mall welcomed more than 92 million visitors.
The Dubai Aquarium inside the mall is said to house the world’s largest acrylic panel (108 feet wide, 27 feet high). It boasts of more than 33,000 marine creatures, including 400 sharks and rays. There is also an Olympic size ice rink. For amusement rides and games, there is an indoor theme park and arcade called SEGA Republic. There is an exclusive kids edutainment theme park called KidZania. And for movies, there is the Reel Cinema which is a 22-screen movie theatre with a 2,800 seating capacity.
