I am deeply disappointed with the delivery done for my takealot order, it was scheduled for the 8/8/2023. I have made myself available for the order today, when I reach home today i am told by the neighbors that the order was dropped off at the neighbors. Is there no policy that the person that the goods are sent to needs to sign for it, this is the second time this has been done.
I placed a same day delivery but it wasn’t delivered and there was no communication from takealot. I had to call them first and secondly I wasn’t at the delivery address on the delivery day so I had to Uber connect my parcel. POOR SERVICE!
My order was delivered on Friday the 5th of May 2023 to my house, when I opened it afternoon only found 4 items. The headset were not there; I tried to call takealot on Saturday but I was on hold for about 4 min then I dropped the call. Later was called by the security guards for the other complex saying there is a parcel left with them for me. I had to go to the other complex to collect my headset. This is so unprofessional.
My wife bought and paid for things from Takealot to be delivered tomorrow. We were at home the whole day today and no phone all from your driver to confirm delivery address and now she gets a sms saying the parcel has been returned to Takealot.
Your contact centre line is USELESS rather cancel it, its a waste of time and airtime. Takealot disappointed me twice. I bought a gift for my boy only to find that there was a defect when I asked for a replacement I was told it’s out of stock. I don’t think electronics are tested before shipping.
After reading most of the comments, it seems Takealot is true to their company name. They TAKE A LOT of people’s money. After about 2 months I’m still struggling to convince them about a returned item. Every time a different person emails back. Then you must explain again again very simple things they don’t want to understand. It TAKE A LOT of patience to communicate with them.
I have made a same day delivery and paid for it yesterday, yet my parcel wasn’t delivered per agreement, was delivered today. This is totally unacceptable.
I am trying to phone your customer service line and getting no response. I need information changed on my invoice to add company details and vat no and my email is not going through to your email and the telephone line keeps cutting me off.
Why do I have to wait 1 month to receive 1 item from you when you have it in stock? I have been really waiting for that product.
I received a pair of bluetooth earphones from my friend for my birthday. They are unfortunately too big. I know this sounds incredibly outrageous but i promise it is true. I was wondering if it is possible for me to exchange the product without my friend.
I would love to review the tv purchased but I never received it. Back and forth with the help centre only to be told on the 2nd day the package was damaged and rejected by the driver. Funny how the customer is the last to know. My faith in takealot’s service is destroyed. It is a shame because I have been buying from them regularly since before lockdown. Never had a problem before but after this experience and seeing many others having the same issue over a long period of time will make me thing twice before parting with my money to purchase items again.
I would like to complement the lovely lady who delivered my parcel this morning. Unfortunately I did not catch her name. If it helps my order number is 121763932. She was so friendly and patient while I was dealing with something as she arrived. I was so impressed with her. What a wonderful person to have on your team.
I sent a parcel (Christmas gifts for children) and received a message to say the parcel had been delivered, but it definitely has not arrived. The parcel clearly had a return address. I insured the parcel and have raised a complaint but cannot progress this without receipts. Needless to say, I don’t always keep receipts for smaller items. The value of the contents was about £15 and postage was nearly £5. A brazen scam and needs investigating!!
I bought a Defy no frost fridge through takealot for R12649. It didn’t work from day one. I phoned them within 48 hours to collect and replace. It is now 1 month later, and nothing has happened
I made a duplicate payment on my online purchase but now they won’t give my money back. I even sent all documents to prove the duplicate payment but still no refund from them they also told me the problem is not on their side.
A week has passed since they tampered with my package and now it is my problem to try and get back my children’s Christmas gifts. This is ridiculous beyond measure!
