I went to Shoppers Drug Mart on Sunday to get some items. I have noticed each time at this location the cashiers tell me machine to process cash transactions is out of service, and I need to go to self service. This location at 415 Westway, Etobicok has been always very nice, pleasant store. Staff working there always had nice folks.
I had the worst experience at shoppers colborne st west Brantford Ont. I bought a trial mascara box at Christmas to see which one I liked best thought this was a great idea but when I took the card in to receive my free mascara the counter clerk said my card was not printed correctly so she then called the manager. She took my card to rerun 15 min latter to tell me I needed to go get the box thankfully I still had it. I was so upset she made me feel like I printed this card myself and I was trying to scam her. I returned with the box with within in 10 min when I found the manager leaving not even 5 o’clock she obviously did not want to deal with me trying to leave before I could return. When I seen her leaving I said I have the box. I was so upset wasting my time and gas. I was given a sample size of sunscreen for my compensation which I do not think was satisfactory. This was not a pleasant experience.
Hi I have, for sixty years, had a great experience with Shopper’s Drug Mart.
However, when it came to a small matter of. $25.00 gift card that I received for a Christmas Gift, they have been extremely unaccommodating. In the summer of 2022 I presented the card at a Gravenhurst McDonald’s. It would not process. The gift card had been purchased at Bayview Mall in North York.
As proof, I sent the complete card and receipt to Shopper’s Head Office. After several back and forth emails, I received a final email which stated it was closing my enquiry. Apparently it swiped for them and they were finished Would not a more reasonable response been to have cancelled that card and sent me a new one. Someone should give more consideration to a legitimate and obviously honest complaint.
For a $25.00 gift card, is it worth having your reputation sullied?
My mother & I were in the Shoppers Drugmart in Polson Mall, Vernon B C .I had received a sample of a product from a Shopper’s but wasn’t sure what store I received it from( I assumed that they carry all the same cosmetic brands). I asked the girl at the desk if she could direct me to where I could find this product showing her my sample which I had brought with me. She turned to the other employee and asked her if they carried that brand, her reply was no but she would call the two other stores in town to find out which store did. As she was at the counter I commented to her that I like samples because I know what the product is like & just what I was there for was to purchase something I had received a sample for. I then asked if there were any other samples I could try . Her response was & I quote “I’m doing you a phone call isn’t that enough!!”. What kind of customer service is that???? I was stunned & in disbelief with regards to her response.
I later learned from the clerk at the other store that this woman I’ll call “”Michelle “” is the manager of the cosmetic department of the Polson mall. I have been managers myself in clothing stores & would never treat a customer or if I ever heard one of my employees respond to someone like that they would be fired on the spot!!
I also learned speaking to friends that they no longer shop at that shopper’s drug mart for cosmetics because of customer service. Unfortunately something needs to be done to correct this matter & I believe we all know what that should be. Not only will I not shop for cosmetics there but I will most likely go to a store possibly a where customer service is a priority!! How many others has experienced this I wonder??
I purchased two products online; it said this order could not be completed and to “try again later,” so I did twice before it went through. Then I get an email with THREE of the same order, charged to my Credit Card – when I went to cancel the other obvious duplicated orders, I was told they could not. Now Shoppers is paying for the shipping and I was charged and have to carry that balance on my Credit Card for something that did not go through the first two times.
The idea that you, Shoppers Drug Mart, would charge three times for an order that was the same – and the website told me to “Try Again Later” and then to charge me is outrageous. The inability to cancel a duplicate order that is the fault of Shoppers. This feels like theft.
Is it not enough that shoppers drug mart prices are way over the top and completely unaffordable but now they’re charging $1.25 for a reusable bag! Other stores charge an entire dollar less. Given that I check myself out, your prices should be lower and the bag prices should be dropped or reflect less greed.
Very angry. Went to shoppers drug mart and bought a apple gift card for $50.00. Went home to load it and it told me it was not valid. Called the store back immediately and was told the store is not responsible for the gift cards they sell and that I must call apple. How is this apples problem. It’s the stores that I feel have a duty to consumers to keep these cards stored in a locked up case after all they are collecting the money on these cards that are used like cash money. This is appalling. I am trying now to reach out to their corporate office for answers.
The smiths falls shoppers is very poorly run… the phone system cuts you off with out giving you a pick up date for your prescriptions… when it’s time to renew med’s they don’t follow threw… & when confronted they blame the medical unit for not getting back to them with the proper information…the staff are incapable of filling the prescriptions to have them ready on time… even though they promise you come back in 20 minutes, 3 trips later they are finally ready.
I am extremely appalled with the experience I have had at Shoppers Drug Mart. I purchased a LCBA gift card ($100.00), I went to use it I immediately went back to the store and was told to call the 1-800#. I called the 1-800#, they said they had to “investigate” their own inaccuracy. I called 5 x in 2 months & Ive received absolutely no update. I call back again and was told the ticket is in the que. I’m disgusted at the process, lack of “customer service” and the fact that the customer has to troubleshoot the issue even after I sent a picture of the gift card, receipt and transaction record. Dorcas was the name of the agent that i spoke with 2 of the 4 times. She was absolutely useless each time.
Please change your flyer layout. The different size pages are most frustrating. I usually just get sick of picking up the pages and trash it. I like Shoppers so please develop a more user friendly flyer.
Waiting in line for covid booster dose at Shoppers Kingsbury 1191 Rathburn Road East in Mississauga. The pharmacy at this location is unbelievably poorly organized. Appointment for 5:15 pm is yet to come at 6:45 pm. It is easily taking more than 2 hours beyond the appointment time. They don’t care for anyone’s time. This should not be acceptable to anyone. You should give only so many appointments that you can handle. This location is such a blot on the Shoppers good name and should be avoided by every one.
I am extremely appalled with the experience I have had at Shoppers Drug Mart.
I purchased a play station gift card ($50.00), my son went to load it and received an error message. I immediately went back to the store and was told to call the 1-800#.
I looked at my receipt and it states the gift card was an ESSO card. Clearly when Shoppers scanned the gift cards the inaccuracy started there.
I called the 1-800#, they said they had to “investigate” their own inaccuracy. 8 days later I have received absolutely no update. I call back again and was told the ticket is in the que.
I’m disgusted at the process, lack of “customer service” and the fact that the customer has to troubleshoot the issue even after I sent a picture of the gift card, receipt and transaction record.
End result – I’m still waiting for Shoppers to either refund my 50.00 or provide the right gift card!
I would strongly suggest all customers avoid purchasing a gift card at any Shoppers location.
Normally I am extremely happy with my experience and value for purchase but I have to say I am very disappointed in Shoppers Drugmart for an exorbitant up charge on Apple Products. Most Apple retailers sell Apple Earphones ( lightning port /w/ Microphone for an average of $29.99 and yet shoppers sees fit to charge $44.99 and for what reason… convince! A $15.00 dollar up charge is not only ludicrous, but offensive. Needless to say say I will not be purchasing this product at my local shoppers drug mart which is disappointing as I would far prefer to support the store around the corner than another retailer…but that much is not a convenience up charge, it’s a rip off!
Hello: My wife and I both retired and experiencing arthritic hands purchased Acetaminophen Arthritis Pain medication in the 50 tab plastic bottle. I was very very surprised to find that neither of us could open the snap top bottle. Rather ironic for that particular medication. Even turning the top to line up the arrows hurt.
