About Royal Enfield
Royal Enfield is a popular Indian motorcycle brand that is today part of automotive giant Eicher Motors. The first Royal Enfield bullet was launched in the year 1901. Not many know that Royal Enfield began as a weapon’s manufacturer (that is why its vehicles are called bullets). The Bullet 350 has been the longest running motorcycle model in production. It was first built in Great Britain and then in India since 1955. It even used to make 650cc and 700cc bikes but stopped due to less demand. Royal Enfield’s motorcycles are sold in 42 countries including the US, UK and Germany.
The Royal Enfield’s manufacturing facility is located at Chennai, India. While the Royal Enfield bikes are known for its sturdy form and great performance, not many know that the bike’s tanks are hand painted by just two craftsmen in their manufacturing plant in Chennai. The company currently has 11 brand stores, 250 dealers and over 200 authoized service centers in India.
You can locate a Royal Enfield dealer or service center on the website. Dealers and service centers are found across all small cities and major metros like Bangalore, New Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Goa, Ernakulam, and Kolkata. You can even locate a genuine parts distributor or even book a test ride. If you need a brief of the Royal Enfield models, you can browse the Motorcyles section on the homepage.
The current models featured on the website include Continental GT, Thunderbird 500, Thunder 350, Classic Squadron Blue, Classic Desert Storm, Classic Battle Green, Classic Chrome, Classic 500, Classic 350, Bullet 500, Bullet 350, Bullet ES and Himalayan. Customers can purchase Roadside Assistance for on-site minor repairs, fuel delivery, vehicle breakdown or flat tyre assistance.
If you are a hardcore Royal Enfield fan, you can now purchase some of the branded merchandise online. This is Harinath from chennai. Few years back I purchased my dream bike called “ROYAL ENFIELD 350 CC BLACK EDITION” I personally know that Royal Enfield is a well-established brand name known for its quality and post-sales service. In my scenario, Initial 3 years were a good experience. Thereafter, my bike has been plagued with issues which have completely ruined my RE ownership experience. Below are my issues.
1.Back tail light issue (This issue was there with past 5 service)
Surprisingly, My RE bike back tail light was not working. Without the tail light we weren’t able to drive at night time, it was a horrible experience. That’s the reason I gave complete five services which included my tail light issues also. The service advisor is also mentioned in the JOB CARD and tablet too. But the service engineer does not attend the issue and sometimes he directly said we are not having sufficient wiring kit with us, please take the bike as of now. And we will resolve this tail light issue at the next service. Then after the second service also he mentioned the same thing. “we are not having sufficient wiring kit with us” It continued for the next Four services. Still the issue was not resolved.
I personally know that, RE team will treat the customers as a family while comparing to other OEM bikes. That’s the reason RE stands at first place when it comes to bikes.
2.What will be the warranty period for “350 CC self bearing and shaft”, I’m getting a lot of noise while starting the bike. This issue is also not rectified.
3.During Covid-19 pandemic time i gave for my bike service, actually i was having problems with my battery power. After charging my battery all lights fuse is gone (Headlight, left side indicator, back light..etc due to battery power voltage.) Again I discussed with the RE service center mechanic, he told me that I need to replace the battery, After replacing the new battery I replaced the new bulbs too. After changing all bulbs and the battery again my side indicator was not working. I made a request to the service center team to look into this issue. But the service center person was not taking the issue seriously, still the issue persists.
4.After my 5th bike service, the headlight set was not properly fixed by RE mechanic, I asked him to fix that headlight set. But he said we weren’t able to fix the headlight properly with the grill metal, He asked me to check with the local mechanic. To be frank, whoever is removing the spare parts from the RE bike, after proper service they have to fix that back properly. Why is he simply neglecting to do that? Whether i’ve to pay any extra money for that? IF yes please let me know, i will file a complaint at consumer court too. (I’ve a proof of photocopy and bill copy which included recorded voice conversation between myself and RE service person)
Note: From the day one which i got my bike from RE showroom, All serviced has been done at royal enfield service center only. Now I am worried that the expenses would have to bear a lot of expenses which I didn’t expect from a RE.
I had purchased RE HIMALAYAN 3 months back and i am highly dissatisfied about the after sales service provided.
My bike has 6900kms on the odometer and i have done all the maintenance on the right time, despite that after the second service in 5000kms the very next day my clutch cable broke and i was stranded on the road. It was in a remote place during my ride and it was really difficult to find the spares and i hardly got it repaired.
I did my 2nd service in Urban Locomote, Aluva, Kerala. It is after this i have experienced serious issues with my Himalayan.
>Clutch Cable broke
>Rattles and Noises from Engine head
>Damping noise from the handle
My himalayan is only 3months old and have only run 6900kms which is also under warranty.
Took test ride of intercepter 650 on two occasions. Everything about the bike is wonderful. The engine, gear shift and exhaust is very good.
The sitting posture is not good.
Please put this 650 twin cylinder engine on a Thunderbird frame and launch the Thunderbird 650 earliest. It will beat Harley street 750 and Kawasaki Vulcan hands down.
Waiting for launch of thunderbird 650.
I strongly suggest that the Bullet 350 Moltar be added to your inventory of available motorcycles for sale. I have seen this as a custom build and believe it to be a bike that would sell heavily in the US market (I want one). The Himalayan is very heavy and a lighter bike is needed.
Also a British Green color would be a nice addition to options.
Completely useless customer care. No service at all.when I requested a black helmet they told me adjust me with what you got.customer care person didn’t give any service.
I have owned and worked on R/E Twins since the early 1960. Up until a few years ago the original parts for these have been good, but I have seen a fall in the quality in the some of the Indian supplied parts .The most recent item I purchased was a pair of clutch friction disc H82K for the drum/sprocket. The friction matieral was not thick enough and the face of the rivet heads was almost flush with the surface leaving very little wear life in fact it was about the same as the old worn ones that I am replacing which have been in use for years. I compared the new pair with one original new British made one I had and you could see the differance in thickness and the rivets go well below the working face . It would be a waist of time to put these new ones on which are 3.28mm in thickness and I will be trying to find a lining manufacturer to supply ones of 4.mm thick . Why are these sort of items scrimped on for such a minimal saving on production cost instead of putting an extra pence or so on the purchase price of what the extra thicker linings would be .
Dear sir
I could like to know who is the official dealer of Royal Enfield in Doha Qatar please let me know
Thank you sir
Hello All,
I will suggest all the Royal Enfield lovers not to buy classic gunmetal grey 350, because company is providing disk brake in the back tyres. Which is good for brake but when your tyre is puncher none of the puncher shops is ready to touch the brake for repairing. And when we take the bike to service center they charge Rs150 for tyre fitting charges and plus puncher charges.
So if the puncher charge is Rs 50 you have to play Rs 200 just because there is disk brake.
And the help line for road side service is not helping at all there call is on hold and they don’t call me back. I was on call for more than 90min but no one assist me.
