Pilot no.575. Shower 8. Broken door. Shower head needs replaced as water sprays leaving no pressure. Hey pilot, profit, profit, profit. Why are you not putting it back in the business as you should be. Hundreds of dollars make your daily revenue and the pack the pocket profit not paying the worker and cannot keep maintenance upkeep shows. Through the years have seen the down hill and the days of taking care of are no more as you are only out for greed. Thanks though as the word gets passed to not stop for anything. The Love’s and QT are better for sure with a clean shower and good coffee.
Visited a flying j, address 7425 Bonnie view road Dallas Texas 75241. Went into the bathroom to sit down inside the stall, the person in the next stall next to me was smoking cannabis. Left that bathroom and went to the second bathroom. I’ve reported this to the cleanup person, he says well that happens all the time. The next facility I see like this I’m not talking to management or anyone. I’m calling the state agencies.
Pilot Flying J let’s privately owned stores to take their drivers of rewards points and credits. I called to file a complaint and the supervisor tried to make me out to be an idiot for suggesting that the Pilot in Suffolk VA doesn’t allow team showers and u have to pay individually, and I felt that it was wrong. If it has a Pilot logo on the building and on the awning, then drivers should be awarded the same incentives as any Pilot. But all the supervisor wanted to do is argue. Farewell to Pilot, I will be a Loves reward member from now on.
I’m in peculiar Missouri at the flying J. I’m at the register trying to get a 12 piece spicy wings, the cashier puts it in the bag I ask her is it possible for me to have a pizza box I want to put some sauce on my chicken and I didn’t want to get it on all of it and she says no we don’t do that so I asked again same ma’am I’m spending $13 please can I have a slice pizza container, then she says you either want or you don’t. Then she took the chicken and put it back behind the glass so I ask for a manager the manager says well we usually run out of pizza boxes while the cashier is in the background talking junk to me saying I told him he’s not getting a box right in front of the manager. I didn’t receive an apology from her or the manager, one of the employees heard it and walked outside and apologized for them and said that they were wrong. I travel over the road I spend a lot of money with pilot every day and this treatment they just gave me is just unacceptable.
Only gonna have showers during the day, I will go back to Loves. Better rewards program anyways. I get up early in the mornings and like to shower before I start my day. That’s why I quit fueling at loves to start with.
We visited one of your locations in Ellensburg Wa and me and my partner paid for a team shower and they didn’t give us 2 shower rooms instead they made us share the same one so unhappy with this location.
I’ve been taking showers at truck stops for a while now. I’ve lost my home and I need a place to shower after a long day of work I can’t afford hotels because they’re about a hundred bucks a day and 16 bucks for a shower is high price but I’m willing to pay it now flying J’s is telling me for some reason that I can’t even take a shower here because I don’t have a truck driver’s license. There’s nobody in line there’s nobody even in the damn store. I even have my own towel. What’s the big deal if I shower here? It says on the website public laundry and showers not laundry and showers for truckers only. Now I gotta waste $100-120 on a room for 8 hours.
What’s up the the pilot or flying j’s showers? This is the fourth one I’ve been to this week with no showers. To top it all off the one here in Spiceland IN. is only letting the people that are non truck drivers eat in the Dennys restaurant. Truck drivers are only allowed to get carry out.
Pilot in Paige,Tx opened 2 months ago. Just stopped for $800 in fuel. Couldn’t wash my truck windshield because they only supply the truck drivers with 2 ft long handles. Went in to use the restroom, smelled like urine and trash overflowing. When I asked the cashier how we were suppose to wash the windshields she suggested we “hop” on our hoods to wash them…… asked for the manager who come to find out was standing behind her the entire time. When I asked him if this is how they treat their valued customers he Ian replied that he didn’t care if I never stopped there again. Well, he’s getting his wish! Now I know why my fellow truck drivers told me to make sure not to stop at this brand new pilot.
As a truck driver, sleeping at truck stops is not an option, it’s a must. I have always appreciated Flying J and their reserve parking system. After a long day of driving, knowing that I would have a place to park and get some rest is always reassuring. Granted, even with reserved parking there will be times when all the spots are taken and an employee will go out and find whoever parked in my spot and ask them to leave. However, my experience at Flying J #750 Fort Chiswell, VA was not that of the same. After a long night of driving, I was ready to get some rest, but when I got there, there were no more spots available. When I went to the counter to let them know, the employee without batting an eye, let me know that they would give me a refund because they can’t go out and find the person who was parked in my spot. It is crucial for us drivers to get the rest we need and truck stops play a huge role in us being able to do so, but if they are not going to do their job and uphold the promise of a prepaid reserved parking spot, then what is the point of selling them?!! I will never go back to this location and if you’re a trucker or anyone driving long distances in need of a good nights dream… avoid this place like the Coronavirus.
The worst flying j I ever been to as a trucker. Marion Indiana will not get my business anymore. How can a manger walk away seeing customers standing there. And when I finally get to leave from doing self check out. She is in her smoking then got the nerve to say have a nice day. You guys have to do better and please clean those nasty bathrooms.
Where to begin. In general most of the Pilot/Flying J’s.
#1. You seem to be having problems with Reserved Parking. In line for checkout and 2 drivers in a row complained that they reserved a spot, paid for, and all reserve parking was full. The Reserved parking situation is a rip off to begin with since truck parking is a must for drivers. Charging drivers is highway robbery and taking advantage of drivers who work hard for their money and give up the luxury of their homes to be out here to do an essential job. Loves doesn’t charge for parking and has many more perks. Might want to reconsider charging for parking.
2. Those coffee/expresso machine coffee is nasty. So many drivers don’t like it. If I want an expresso I’ll go to a Starbucks. I noticed a lot of your Pilots mostly are changing over to these. A lot of the older drivers don’t like it. Maybe it’s time to go back and cater to the majority. Or offer both.
3. Shower prices are ridiculously priced.
4. Offer better healthier fast food choices. Fast food is okay but those that are trying to eat healthier aren’t finding it.
I could go on with complaints. My husband uses Pilot/Fling J for fueling (we team) so I really don’t have a choice there.
When are you going to give Truck Drivers incentives?? Unlimited free showers, free fountain drinks, points towards merchandise, they get 1,500 gals of fuel a month, and spending money every time we stop so why don’t they get incentives?? I know love’s Travel center does this.
As a truck driver I love pilot and Flying J. Honestly I only use these two for fuel during the whole year.
What really bothers me lately is the coffee. They brought these new machines and coffee was excellent in the beginning but not anymore. Don’t know what happened but coffee is watery like filter coffee again. There’s few places that still make good coffee but most of them have ruined it by trying to safe money.
Braselton Ga store #66 by far the nasty damn pilot I’ve ever been in. You need check in on the stores from time to time. You have nasty restrooms was and the store wasn’t much better. Never seen that much trash laying around in a parking lot.
