About Pillsbury
Pillsbury is the famous brand name under General Mills that is the leading seller processed grain “atta”, baking, frosting, and refrigerated products. The initial C.A. Pillsbury and Company was founded in 1872 by Charles Alfred Pillsbury. However the threat it posed to General Mills as a competitor led General Mills to eventually buy it out. The other notable brands under General Mills are Betty Crocker, Nature Valley etc. In India, General Mills has set its indelible mark on the Indian market with its “Pillsbury Chakki fresh atta” (whole wheat flour) since 1998. Mr. Anindo Mukherji is the Managing Director of General Mills India Pvt. Ltd Pillsbury is the proud bearer of the superbrand title in the branded atta category.
Pillsbury Chakki Fresh atta claims to be the nutritious alternative to the age old tradition of buying whole wheat grains and getting it ground in a chakki. It not only provides consumers with a deliciously soft rotis, and the convenience of a packaged, branded product, but also takes care that nutrition is not jeopardized. It is 100 percent whole wheat grain atta with fibre, which has a vital role in maintaining healthy digestive system plus iron, which acts as a carrier of oxygen in the body.
Pillsbury India is a pioneer in marketing Multi grain flour. It released Pillsbury Atta with Multi-Grains in 2008. It is a unique blend of seven natural grains – wheat, soy, oats, maize, ragi, chana dal and barley. It offers consumers extra nutrition in the form of more protein, calcium and iron, without compromising the taste and softness of the rotis. This initiative was welcome as the urban public is no longer in easy access to these traditional grains.
Besides flour, Pillsbury India also sells Cake mixes with a variety of rich flavours, cake icings and frostings, non sticky vermicelli (semiya) made from pure cream of wheat and custard powder.
Apart from its products of superior quality, another reason that Pillsbury is fondly remembered among the public is because of its cuddly doughboy ”Poppin’ Fresh” who had his debut in the year 1965. He has been dressed in a chef’s hat bearing the Pillsbury logo and a white neckerchief. The Doughboy has become a global icon whose smile and cheery disposition transcend language barriers and creates a fond acceptance of the product in minds of people.
I am one of your Brand Ambassadors of “Aashirvaad ATTA”.
In this connection, one suggestion from me i.e., If Aashirvaad ATTA Branded Company Starts Instant ROTI / CHAPATI, then it creates lot of demand from the market i.e., both from the individuals / hotels.
Now-a-days, people like instant foods like Instant Coffee, Idly / Dosa Batter etc. as most of the family members are busy in employment and other activities and shortage time and preparation of Chapatti requires knead and roll the dough etc. it requires more time for preparation. Hence, people like instant foods like instant Roti / Chapati.
As a professional banker and also closely monitoring the demand and supply of FMCG Products, in my opinion this suggestion creates huge demand for Aashirvaad Instant ROTI / CHAPATTI and your market share may increase drastically.

I have been regularly using Pillsbury atta since 2007 due to its best quality and taste, but unfortunately since last 3 months the quality has drastically decreased, chapatis are harder and no more tastier as earlier. Kindly maintain the standards as earlier or surviving market competition will be difficult.
Very very bad fridge cheese cake. Waste of time and money. Very much disappointed.
