Pillsbury Chakki Fresh atta claims to be the nutritious alternative to the age old tradition of buying whole wheat grains and getting it ground in a chakki. It not only provides consumers with a deliciously soft rotis, and the convenience of a packaged, branded product, but also takes care that nutrition is not jeopardized. It is 100 percent whole wheat grain atta with fibre, which has a vital role in maintaining healthy digestive system plus iron, which acts as a carrier of oxygen in the body.

Pillsbury India is a pioneer in marketing Multi grain flour. It released Pillsbury Atta with Multi-Grains in 2008. It is a unique blend of seven natural grains – wheat, soy, oats, maize, ragi, chana dal and barley. It offers consumers extra nutrition in the form of more protein, calcium and iron, without compromising the taste and softness of the rotis. This initiative was welcome as the urban public is no longer in easy access to these traditional grains.

Besides flour, Pillsbury India also sells Cake mixes with a variety of rich flavours, cake icings and frostings, non sticky vermicelli (semiya) made from pure cream of wheat and custard powder.

Apart from its products of superior quality, another reason that Pillsbury is fondly remembered among the public is because of its cuddly doughboy ”Poppin’ Fresh” who had his debut in the year 1965.
