About OUTsurance
OUTsurance is a South African insurance and financial services company founded in the year 1998. Headquartered at Centurion, OUTsurance employs more than 4,300 and operates as a subsidiary of RMI Holdings. The company claims to have paid out over R3 billion in cash OUTbonuses and saved hundreds of millions of rands in premiums. It apparently was the first to have introduced a reward system in South Africa that returns cash to clients who remain claim free. The company’s product range includes personal and commercial insurance. The associate companies of OUTsurance consist of OUTsurance Namibia, OUTsurance Life and OUTvest. While OUTsurance Life is a direct life insurance offering basic and fully underwritten life insurance, OUTvest provides investment advice and administration services. OUTsurance also launched personal insurance cover to consumers in Australia and New Zealand. The operations there are managed under the Youi brand.

The comprehensive car insurance offers cash OUTbonus if you can maintain being claim free for a period of three years. Further you get 12-month guaranteed premiums, free emergency roadside assistance and coverage against loss or damage from theft, fire or accident. The home insurance provides coverage for loss or damage during construction, fire, theft and water damage and accidental loss and damage cover. Further you get access to handpicked service providers and free emergency home assistance. The home insurance premium is guaranteed for 12 months.
The life insurance meanwhile comes with free medical tests, flexible payment structures, and life coverage. Further you can get all your paid life insurance premiums back in cash after 15 claim-free years. The business insurance meanwhile offers liability insurance, property insurance and motor insurance. If you are a new customer, you can receive a quote instantly on the website or visit nearest OUTsurance branch to receive an estimate. Have an existing insurance? You can sign in to your account to view or make changes to your policy. For claims, you dont need to submit any forms. Claims can be made over phone. You can also click on “Submit Claim” option on the website to make a claim. It will be mandatory for you to select what product you would like to claim against and provide contact details for an executive to reach you. As for paying premium, you only have the option of debit order payments. All premiums must be paid in advance. I have written to Outsurance many, many, MANY times explaining that I am hearing impaired and CANNOT, note (!) CANNOT hear a conversation over the phone. Yet, every time I email them, the email comes back that they would rather talk and that I must phone them. When is Outsurance going to start LISTENING to the client?? Do I move to another company that will communicate with me via email, because Outsurance as sure as anything don’t want to bother with writing emails?!!
I can find no way to cancel my vehicle policy, extremely frustrating as i am in the UK and cannot call. I had to fly suddenly and had to sell my car.
There is no email address for queries. This is frustrating. They are quick to sell and bother you with ads and emails, but u cant even reach them when u need to.
I want to cancel the insurance policy because it’s full of lies, an Agent advised that there would be no excess only to find that there is a basic excess on the contract. You Are deceiving people. Fortunately I had recorded my conversation with an agent..if my contract is not canceled I will tell other people not to sign up with you.

I want to cancel a new policy that was set up last week, I was not keen on taking it out straight away but felt a little pressured. Now I dont want the policy as I am going to give me current insurers the opportunity to reduce first. I dont want to have to call in and explain and explain why I dont want this. Omg, all I want is a letter of confirmation that I am a client and that my policy is still current. I am a ballet teacher and I need to prove each year in January to the schools I teach at that my public liability policy is paid up. But I cannot find an email address anywhere. I don’t want to complain and I don’t want a new policy I just want a letter of confirmation. I am amazed at how hard this has been. Please help me.
