I am waiting 6 months for a REFUND.
My flight was changed and therefore not possible and I am due a refund. I have called the call center fortnightly for the last 6 months. The staff are pleasant but clearly not trained as I have tell them the story every time, they don’t seem to have notes. The process is very tiring and frustrating.
Waiting over 2 years for 1200 euro refund. Robotic answers. Stating 30 day refund delay. IN my opinion OPODO do not intend to refund. Their customer service is a joke.

I have recently tried to book a flight from OPODO through Skyscanner.
1. My reservation was declined at the payment stage even though i had enough funds
2. My bank was charged two times of €36,65 which one of them went through and other was declined by my bank
3. I haven’t received any confirmation, reference email or text from this company
4. Because i don’t have reference i cannot reach to any customer service representative, their help section is useless and there is no contact number
5. When i see customer reviews and complaints about this service provider i realised i am not alone.
I have reported to and kindly asked Skyscanner to remove OPODO as service provider from their network, i have used Skyscanner in the past and was very pleased for their services and i cannot accept this kind of provider to operate under their network or standalone, i know how a business should operate and handle customer care and my experience can be summarised only as being scammed and this is definitely not how a legitimate business should operate.
How is this company allowed to operate?I booked flights 4 days ago. I still have not received my booking confirmation. I can’t find a representative to speak to and the robot chat is ineffective.
They took money from my bank account without asking if I wanted opodo prime for the second year or not. I don’t want to have a prime account with opodo anymore and I want my money back.
Still haven’t refunded me for a trip they cancelled 1 year ago. No progress. They blame it on aeromexico and say they can’t issue a refund if aeromexico hasn’t issued a refund to them. Good luck in court.
Opodo took £47.33 from account for no reason. Efforts to contact them has proved abortive. I already paid £59.99 for membership subscription for 1 year in October 2022 yet they still took £47.33 from my account.
I have never applied for a Prime membership on Opodo website but they have booked from my credit card without my permission! When I tried to contact them to cancel this I had no chance!!! They just forward emails to online help and online help is just a robot and no right answers!
Thank goodness Im not on my own here! Ive been charged for Prime Membership, I did not subscribe to it or want it. Spent 12 hours trying to contact them….. awful and distressing! I haven’t written to their CEO and await a reply!!

I’m still waiting for a refund AND it’s been over 1 year. I have tried waiting on the phone; asking for call backs; waiting 10 days for refunds, you name it I’ve done it. Please do not waste time and your money booking with this company. I have never experienced customer service like this, they have no intention on refunding money.
I wish. They’ve kept taking £47 out my account for so called membership which I cancelled within the 30 days twice but now had to block my card. They refused to help me with my flight booking or provide details as I booked a ‘cheap flight’ with Easyjet through them. It was so cheap it was £70 dearer than Easyjet. Do not use them!!
I had done a booking for my managers for a business trip through Opodo for 11 Nov on Eggyptair. I called the customer service on 9 Nov and spoke to a lady Rehana and requested to cancel only one passenger. I repeated my request 3 times just to make sure she understood its only passenger cancellation and the correct one. She confirmed all 3 times. While doing the check-in for the second passenger I wasn’t able to process the request and it dawned to me that something was really really wrong. I called the customer service again and spoke to a lady who when heard my concern very rudely just connected me to another person Raj. Upon checking his system he confirmed the passenger who was to travel was cancelled and the other requested cancellation was in process. It was a nightmare for me with just few hours for my manager to travel. Immediately I called Egyptair and they confirmed the worst – the person who was to travel was cancelled while the one who was to be cancelled had an open ticket to travel again. I was lucky there was only one seat left which I booked immediately not wanting my manager to be stranded. Top it all I get email from Opodo saying they cant resolve my issue and needs to be done with the airlines. Now I am still doing rounds with Opodo and Egyptair to get the open ticket cancelled. Such pathetic customer service. How can they even do this imagine a person getting stranded without knowing his ticket has been cancelled.
My booking reference is 4993045312. I have booked 2 years ago. My trip was cancelled due to covid and I ask for refund, they just give me a voucher good for 1 year. After a year I can’t still travel. With great difficulty I reached the customer service. The agent told me to contact airline. The airline now says they will give refund and the agent is supposed to process documents for refund. The response is very poor.

My flight was cancelled by British Airways and I was told my refund would be sent to Opodo then transferred to me – no luck.
Getting incredibly frustrated at their very poor customer service.
Opodo travel agent UK had booked 4 tickets for me to Oman just before Covid 19, the flight cancelled and I requested a refund which was processed. Opodo received my refund of £1729.58 in Nov 2000 from the Gulf Airline. Opodo kept my refund and did NOT transfer it to my account. Every time I ring Opodo, I receive a recorded message stating that my refund was processed successfully and it will be in my bank account in 3-7 days. It is three years now and the refund was not transferred to my account. I wrote many messages in the Media and contacted Opodo but in vain. My booking reference number is-4877976625.
I booked and was charged for a two-way ticket by Opodo, got the confirmation in “Opodo app” and got to my destination but couldn’t get the flight back. Apparently, the airline didn’t confirm the return flight with the airline and all they could say is that nothing can be done. I would have to book my return ticket again and Opodo would issue a refund for the return flight that I can get in 3 business days. Meanwhile, I’m stuck in a city, with an infant, having to miss out work and nowhere to stay! Absolute disgrace! I have never been so distressed.

The website procedure to cancel is very complicated with unclear instructions and I haven’t managed to actually speak to anyone at the company.
Terrible customer service. I have been waiting for a refund since July. Each time I try to contact I am told to contact the airline who assure me that the refund was made immediately to Opodo. Eventually I spoke to someone who agreed that opodo had my money but they have still not refunded it. Dreadful communication and misleading information all the time.
Oh I understand you… Brace yourself, I have been waiting for a refund for 4 and 1/2 months for a flight that was cancelled by the airline. It is appalling. Total lack of professionalism, liars, and illegal treatment of their customers. This is a total breach of contract and I am going to take it higher up. I called the airline who also told me that they should have refunded me a while ago, within 14 days! You cannot speak to a supervisor nor a manager. Opodo is definitely written off my list of travel companies I will use going forward and I will make sure that my friends and family do the same. There is no care for the inconvenience caused to their customers, they are just thieves. I never leave negative feedback, but I am doing it now to save the time, energy and bad experience to other customers of Opodo. This is not a trustworthy company, their is no customers fair treatment and definitely a very poor useless customers service.
Literally agree with all comments above with regards to the customer service. Booked flights to turkey Istanbul, was not informed i cant book luggage on after. Have called to ask if they can add luggage or change the flight to anything with luggage and they literally offered me no alternatives. Poor customer service made me go back and forth with airline and them! They should have informed me prior to booking. People on the phone are NO HELP AT ALL. They are rude and dont want support or offer alternatives, literally stuck with flights.
Booked a car through Opodo, only to arrive in Chios and find that the car rental agency didn’t have any cars available. Rang Opodo, were informed that the money was with the car rental company. Rang the car rental company, and our booking number was still active, (as we hadn’t hired a car) and for that reason they had not received any funds. 3 weeks later, we are still waiting on a refund, and they are almost impossible to get through to. Remind me never, EVER, to use Opodo again.
I used Opodo to book a flight to Crete in May 2022. At that time, this company did provide me with this cheapest quote for a flight so I signed up for their services. The very next time I went to use their service my membership of £59.99 had been taken and on top of that all quotes were higher than any I found following a simple google search.
Obviously I wanted to cancel my membership and secure a refund. I would say that the first round of calls met with the expected corporate line. It was incredibly frustrating and annoying but I persevered and insisted on speaking to management. I had clear proof that service did not provide what represented.
I was put through to Nitin. To be fair he did listen and dropped the party line quite quickly. He was extremely professional and competent. A complete but welcome surprise from my experience with their first tier customer service. As promised my refund was approved and back in my bank within days. I guess I’m suggesting persevere.
Opodo car hire is a complete scam. Cannot get a refund and getting through to speak to someone is impossible. Please do not use this company – I’m obviously trying to take legal action but it’s not easy. The best thing the public can do is NOT USE OPODO
Impenetrable. They took a subscription without checking and it’s impossible to talk to anybody about this or log-in matters. It used to be possible to get through to a living person but not any more.
I was never in contact with them, never asked for Prime subscription, but they charged me for Prime subscription. No idea how to talk to a real person, tried many times. How could they get my card data?
Same here, charged me for Opodo Prime and God knows how to get my money back now, I haven’t subscribed for it, fraudsters, reported to my bank already
I echo almost everyone’s comments above, slating Opodo’s service. My wife booked flights to and from Aberdeen to Birmingham for July. The outbound flight turned out not to exist. It was for a major family event. No success online to sort out so sent e-mail and got redirected back to the on-line, round and round. My wife eventually managed to speak with them after second attend and hour and a half to be told they had sent a corrected confirmation (they did not) and the booking was non-refundable despite us being primarily sold a flight that does not exist (breach of contract and selling something that did not exist). No trust, faith, satisfaction of service and will not use Opodo again.
