About Oman Post
Though Oman Post began officially in the year 2005, it has a history of more than 160 years. It began services when the British Postal Dept opened the first post office in 1856. Oman Post services are made available through a network of more than 85 branches across the country. Locate an outlet nearest to you through the post office locator online. Speaking of the services, you can send letters, documents and parcels across the Sultanate of Oman and internationally. There is a rate calculator to help you calculate the costs according to the weight, dimensions and destination.
Inbound and outbound postal mail can be sent through regular and registered mail. The weight for documents and letters cannot exceed 2kg. There is Express Mail Service (EMS) for those who wish to send documents and parcels in less than 24 hours. You can send items with weight up to 30kg. To save costs, you can send your shipments through the standard parcel service. Delivery is available for same day or next day for weight of 2kg to up to 25kg. Cargo service is available for individuals and small businesses. You can send and receive parcels from 10 cargo offices. Businesses can choose Asyad Express for door to door delivery and cash on delivery.
Get your own PO Box to have a permanent address in Oman. With a PO Box, you can receive documents and parcels that will be stored or delivered to an address of your choice. For a new PO Box subscription, you can apply online and make payment through credit card. There is also the option of ePost, a hybrid post box to receive physical and digital mail in the address. You can register, renew or extend the subscription online. With the service, you can be confident of safely receiving private and confidential mail. Additionally, you can shop online without worry and receive the item at any post office in Oman.
