I read a lot of bad reviews, but I would like to say something good about our experience with NTB. I ran over something that punctured my tire. My husband and I took the tire in and were treated so kindly by a gentleman named Sean. He fixed my tire quickly and helped us so promptly. In an economy where no one wants to work and help is hard to find I really did appreciate him.
I am writing a complaint regarding the Chillum Maryland store and the unprofessionalism of this entire organization. I purchased 4 tires at the costs of $1,200. I had a guarantee so when my tire pressure light came on I took at to the store to put air in it. The light never went off and I was told if you drive it around a while it would reset. I took at two more times for the same issue. I made an appointment to have my tire checked on the third appointment and when I got to my schedule appointment they told me the tire compressor was broken and were not doing any tire work that day. I took at back again and waited for five hours to replace one tire that had a nail in it. Alex the assistant manager was very apologetic that its had taken so long and explained the was a man short. I also was due for a tire rotation and balancing but after waiting five hours for this service I was not willing to spend any more additional time that day. So I made an appointment for 9am on August 20th 2021. When I went to the shop promptly at 9am. It was one gentleman at the counter who also had a 9am appointment. There was one other gentleman in the waiting area who has an appointment at 8:30am. I settled in the TV room for what I thought would be a short time since I had an appointment. At 11:40am I realized that my car was still parked in the same place. I immediately went to the manager Donya who stated that the computer had overbooked. The same excuse that was given on previous vista to the store. I explain to her by now you as the manager should have gotten on top of that issue since you told me that excuse on several times before. I told her I had waited 2 hours and forty minutes and my car had not been pulled in to be service. I asked how much longer it would be and she replied another hour and a half. Which means we are looking at 4 hours to get my tires rotated and balance with a appointment. I explained unacceptable and would be contacting the president. She end up cursing me which is definitely unacceptable behavior from a store manager. I now know where the lackadaisy attitude that the entire store aside from Alex and one other guy at the desk who’s name I did not catch. Also the number for complaints is also a joke since I have called several times and have spoke to Lily, Hector, Miguel and Frieda. They are all nice in the phone but do very little to address your issues and refuse to let you speak with there superiors.
So, I had a tire emergency in Anderson, SC. I took my vehicle in for a new tire installation. I dropped the vehicle off for the service. Shortly after, I received a call from the store. My wheels have security lugs on the rims and they needed the special socket to loosen the lug nuts. I told them it was either in the glove box or in the rear storage compartment. The store closes at 6pm and I received a call that it was ready around 5:45. I went to pick the vehicle up, was rushed out because it was bordering on 6pm. I paid for the service and proceeding to leave. I stopped for shopping and as I was closing my vehicle up, I noticed something. What I noticed was black grease all over the inside of my beige leather interior…..drivers seat, passenger seat, glove box front, arm rests, carpet and door handles….I immediately called the store. The employee just told me to get it detailed and they would cover it, that he didn’t have time to deal with it….a somewhat nice gesture but I have kept the interior of this car in near mint condition for the five years I have owned it. I have been assured by a professional detailer that while the grease will probably come off the leather, the stitching will be permanently stained. This is far from over with NTB. If you live in the Anderson area, please beware….
My complaint is about very poor customer service รกnd the incompetence of the Manager who’s name is Tony. The location is 4453 Mitchellville Rd, Michelleville, Maryland. I took my car for a simple wheel alignment. After one two hours the simple alignment was done. I was presented with a printout of future work that needed attention. I made an appointment to have two belts changed in five days. My firs day out in my car i noticed that the sound was much louder than ever, and that the front end would pulsate terribly when I applied the brakes. Once the brakes made a loud squeaking, then rubbing, then suddenly grabbing sound that could be heard and felt. The next morning I called the shop to speak with the manager. I asked if I wanted to have work done on my car. I replied that I wanted to talk to him about work that I just had done there. The person got my name, number, as well as the make and model of my car. He said that Tony would call me back in five minuets. The whole day went by. Tony never called. I called back the next morning the same time which was 8:05 AM. I stated why I was calling and asked if Tony was there. The person whispered are “you here” then proceeds to tell me that Tony is with a customer.
