About Nanjing Metro
nanjing-metro-logoNanjing Metro is a rapid transit system serving Nanjing, China. Launched in the year 2005, the metro operates 6 lines connecting to 121 stations. A single day Nanjing Metro transports close to 2 million commuters.

The lines consist of Line 1 (Maigaoqiao – China Pharmaceutical University), Line 2 (Youfangqiao – Jingtianlu), Line 3 (Linchang – Mozhoudonglu), Line 10 (Andemen – Yushanlu), S1 (Nanjing South Railway Station – Nanjing Lukou Intl Airport) and S8 (Taishanxincun Station – Jinniuhu Station).

Tickets can be purchased from manned stations or through vending machines. There are single fare tickets as well as ‘Jinlingtong’ smartcard to load multiple fares.
