I purchased a dress on August 22, 2022. Online info said 90 day refund policy however when I tried to return it the automated message would not accept it as it now says it is outside a 30 day window. I would never again buy from Lord and Taylor online despite the fact that it was my go to store for dresses and shoes.
I was once a good customer of L&T. Unfortunately brands and quality of service, especially online has been awful. One recent purchase included a pair of Donald P. Shoes along with a button down polo shirt. Both arrived in a timely manner. The shoes were as expected. After removing the shirt, trying it on seemed ok. Removed all the tags etc and hung in my closet. I noticed on the right front breast area a small slit, which was most probably caused by a box cutter which I did not use to open the package. I called customer service and was told no problem, send it back and she could reorder a new one. Once they receive the defective goods, it would be credited. I received the new one but the credit did not come. After 3 weeks I received the damaged good back with a note stating the goods are not sellable, no refund. I called and was told nothing could be done. Needless to say I will not, nor my family will not purchase from this company again.
I am upset with Lord & Taylor. I have tried to return One pair of slacks for almost 3 months. I can’t print the return shipping label and have been told three times that it will be sent to me by US postal service. It never arrives original date of this order was 10/15/2018. What is wrong with your customer service Department?
I would like to complain from the Lord and Taylor online store and subsequent customer service.
I made an order for a bag on sale on 20th December. When I asked what is happening with my order on 25th Dec 2018, I received email that there was no stock and my order was cancelled. When I asked a few days later, why the bag is still being sold on the website, I received an answer that they ‘have no clue but keep shopping’?!
Now 9 days later, on 29th December the bag is still on the website for sale and I realised why my order was cancelled. On sale I purchased it for 85gbp and the current sale price on the website is 114 gbp. Your store refused to acknowledge my order at the price I paid for and instead you cancelled my order and lied to me about the reason why my order is cancelled. I actually can’t believe you did this?! The bag is still available, you have it in stock and you have in fact refused to sell it to me?!
Hello, I received my package today and I found out that it did not include the one of two items,plus the item I got was medium size even though I ordered x-small. And you charged me for both. I called to online customer service center and the sound of automatic system I could never understand because it sounded really weird. What a mess!
I want my money back for both asap but what are you going to do for the item you did not ship?
Lord & Taylor, I am a client and would like to report a problem. Yesterday, November 2nd, 2018, I visited Lord &Taylor store at Lawrence Township NJ at the Quaker Bridge Mall and I was very badly treated by an employee. Her name is Tracy and she treated me very disrespectfully, screaming and the “reason” why she did that was because I asked the same question twice , because she didn’t answer the first time I asked! I called the Manager (Beatrice) who tried to “explain” that the employee was facing some personal problems and this is unacceptable. Furthermore, the manager offered me a “free makeup” which I though it was an offense!! I really would like that the store and Tracy to apologize to me, so I will feel better. Looking forward receiving yours and Tracy’s apologies soon. By the way: Melissa (another Lord & Taylor employee testified the whole situation)
First the wrong package came to my house worth over $500.00 I returned the package to the carrier, had to replace my order, promise to have it delivered by thursday Oct 4th still no package. Called again to replace order with order # giving to me by first person, still unable to explain what happened said would refund me in thirty days! What a mess dealing with your customer service department!!! I have been trying over and over to receive my order. Each time I try, I get someone who cannot understand the problem or unable to solve the issue.
I want to acknowledge a salesperson at your store in Paramus, NJ–Fashion Center–Assoc:335606-Karen. On September 7th I visited the store and had a problem purchasing merchandise with my gift receipt. She was the third person I was passed to and she went above and beyond trying to rectify a problem–spent 40 minutes and numerous phone calls and finally got the answer. She was calm-courteous- and smiled the entire time telling me how sorry she was. I want her to get the recognition she deserves.
I want to acknowledge Yasamin at the store in Paramus,N.J.. She helped me pick out a wonderful birthday gift for my daughter in law. Yasamin was so sweet and helpful. She even tried on the jacket for me before I purchased it. She was such a big help to me.
I placed an order at the Wayne store on 5/11/18 order # 6002092886, and package was drop at the post office. However, it was returned back to the warehouse on 05/2518 FedEx tracking # 61299990286364313640.
I have called four times to customer service, and today 07/03/18 check my statement, and it has not been credited on my account.
All associates I have spoken don’t have the customer service skills to follow up. Customer service is unreliable, never had such a bad experience with your customer service.

Why do you have a customer service person taking orders. You must be inundated with complaints from customers who THOUGHT they were actually placing an order – and your customer service person NEVER PLACED THE ORDER. Well, I’m a victim of these circumstances. I don’t see a confirmation of my order that I placed on Sunday, April 22, 2018 – ONLY BCS YOUR COMPUTER GENERATOR ORDER WOULD NOT ACCEPT MY NEW SHIPPING ADDRESS. IT ACCEPTED MY NEW BILLING ADDRESS – BUT NOT MY SHIPPING ADDRESS – AFTER ABOUT 6 FAILED ATTEMPTS. SO NOW WHAT???
So many times we write to complain.This time I want to acknowledge one of your manager at your Manhasset, NY store who helped me and addressed my problem with a smile. LORNA (230738)was extremely helpful, found a quick solution and went beyond the regular customer service you expect from your store. I thought you should be aware of it.
