About Gujarat State Road Transport
Gujarat State Road Transport is the public bus operator in the state of Gujarat operating since 1960. Also known as GSRTC, the transport operator has a fleet of more than 8700 buses annually serving 2.5+ million passengers. Operated by the Government of Gujarat, GSRTC runs both intercity and interstate services. Within Gujarat, it operates close to 226 stations and 126 depots. Besides the home state, GSRTC operates regular services to locations across Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Goa, and Daman and Diu.

GSRTC’s depots are spread across Ahmedabad, Amreli, Vadodara, Bhavnagar, Bhuj, Bharuch, Godhra, Himmatnagar, Rajkot, Jamnagar, Junagadh, Mehsana, Nadiad, Palanpur, Surat and Valsad. The bus terminals cater to a large number of passengers. They also come with amenities for the comfort of travellers. You will find large digital displays, waiting hall, cloakrooms, foodcourts, restaurants and budget hotels. As for the fleet of buses, currently you have Express, Gurjarnagri, Sleeper and Volvo buses on road. You can book for seater, sleeper, AC or non-AC seats. The new buses come with charging points, WiFi, reading light, water bottles and television.

Popular cities covered by GSRTC includes Gandhinagar, Surat, Baroda, Ahmedabad, Ankleshwar, Matar, Lakhni and Chhota Udaipur. Passengers can see the popular routes along with schedule of buses on the website. Existing passengers can also track their bus by vehicle number, tripcode or PNR number. New tickets can be booked at the station or online on the website. You can search for a bus by inputting the origin/destination and then proceed to reserve a seat. Tickets can be booked via credit card, debit card, and Internet banking. As you make a booking you will also find the option to pick the seat of your choice. After payment, GSRTC will send you a confirmation SMS or email with details.

Passengers will need to carry a valid ID before boarding bus. There will be a 25% cancellation charge from basic fare iff cancelled within 1 day. If cancelled between 2-5 days, you will be paying 20% charges of basic fare. No cancellation will be allowed after departure of bus. As for refund, they will processed within 7-21 working days. For complaints or queries on tickets, cancellation, refund, lost baggage, or others, reach the GSRTC support.
