About DocuSign
DocuSign is a platform that provides electronic signature technology for signing of documents and contracts. Launched by Court Lorenzini, Tom Gonser and Eric Ranft in 2003, the platform boasts of more than 200 million users worldwide and more than 300,000 companies. DocuSign is available in 43 languages. The Digital Transaction Management platform allows to fill out and sign documents for free. Users can also send documents for others to sign via email, Dropbox or Google Drive. Documents that can be signed via DocuSign include NDAs, sales contracts, health care documents, waivers, lease agreement and permission slips. DocuSign supports PDF, Word, Excel, JPEG, PNG, TIFF and other formats. Once the document is uploaded, you need to indicate who needs to sign and drag and drop DocuSign fields to indicate where you need a signature. You can also add custom fields for signers. Documents are saved automatically and securely. DocuSign recently introduced DocuSign Payments to collect payments and signatures. Users can accept debit/credit cards and ACH payments
With the DocuSign free edition, you can sign as many documents as you want. However, you will need to upgrade to enjoy more benefits. There is a free 30 day trial to get you started. The number of documents allowed each month differs by plan type. The various plans include Personal, Standard and Business Pro. While the basic is for single user, the others allow more than one users and also offers personalized branding, reminders and notifications.
