About Dean Smith Center
The Dean Smith Center is an indoor arena located in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Opened in the year 1986, the arena is named after basketball coach Dean Smith. Also known as Dean Home, the multi-purpose venue is home to the North Carolina Tar Heels men’s basketball (NCAA). The Dean Smith Center has undergone a number of renovations over the years. It currently has a seating capacity of 21,750 visitors. The venue is owned and managed by the University of North Carolina.
Guests can visit the website to view the upcoming events or seating charts. Disability seating and parking is available at the Dean Smith Center. On select events, you can catch the Tar Heel Express shuttle buses to connect to the stadium. If you prefer to drive, note that there is limited parking at the venue.
