I would never in my life buy from currys again. Customer service centre is shocking. We’ve had a faulty hoover for 3 weeks now. After 26 phone calls the hoover was finally picked up. After telling us we couldn’t have a replacement due to there being none at the distribution centre they told us all they could do was give us our money back. Meanwhile the hoovers were in stock at all our local stores but for £140 more than we originally payed. After agreeing just to take the refund we then had to take the plunge and buy the hoover again at a higher cost elsewhere. Today they rang to say they had received the returned hoover and will send out a replacement tomorrow as we aren’t eligible for a refund … despite us arguing this previously. We specifically asked them to cancel the order which they said they had (and told us they had processed a refund) We’ve now had a message from DPD to tell us the hoover will be with us tomorrow. Call centre is a disgrace and reading other people’s messages and having gone through it myself it’s clearly obvious that the manager doesn’t exist.
Absolutely not interested in customer care. I had a computer repair under a care plan said would be delivered Friday. The driver rescheduled it and now 3 days later, still not arrived. Customer service not helpful at all. I asked to speak with a manager, he said someone would get one to call me within 24 to 48 hrs. What are these managers doing. I tried to find if its delivered next day, still no update. Absolutely poor service.
Ordered a washer – waited for the 4 hr delivery slot 13.50-17.50 – tracked the van and could see at 17.10 it was on job 19 and we were job 27 so now way as it getting to us on time – they didn’t contact us until 19.10 – to say they broke down at lunch time – despite the tracker showing otherwise. They didn’t think to ring until this point – offered a Saturday delivery I asked them to confirm with my partner ( they had his number) as I would be out – they did not ring my partner – sent a text to say it would be delivery the next day (4 days from the original date and no working washing machine at this point…). When my partner ‘politely asked for an earlier slot’ phone was put down on him.
Rang today to make a complaint to be told I had to email it- I asked for a timed slot Sunday and she ‘Naladi’ said I would have to pay for that ( couldn’t waver it despite what had happened) -I then asked to make an official complaint – they didn’t seem keen to do this, Naladi said I would receive no feedback from it – have now been waiting 20 minutes just for her to generate a complaint number. This is terrible service and I would not recommend you to anyone. I would agree with Jack’s comments above -about – you clearly have no idea about customer service and are only interested in the sale – AOL much better – will never use Curry’s again.
I phoned Currys Fromm my home, after 30 minutes of waiting. I drove to the store, 15 minutes away. Plenty of staff milling around, phones ringing, but no one too any notice. It seems like Currys staff dont really care about customers.
They are quick to collect customers’ money but their delivery is appallingly diabolical. Rude drivers, poor customer service etc. I’m still waiting for my call back with no goods delivered because of a “2step policy”. For those who do not know what 2 step policy is anything beyond 2 steps is up to the driver’s discretion to deliver and the driver has power to cancel the delivery. What type of a company policy and value is that?
Absolutely disgusted with service from Curry’s. After a rude encounter with a manager at the store, raised several complaints to customer service and still not heard anything. Shocked and very disappointed. They told really couldn’t care about their customers
Just to let you know, I visited your store in Princess Retail Park, Sutton Coldfield and was delighted with the service I received from Faiza. My order was ready to pick up as promised, and Faiza was particularly helpful and patient with all my queries. I am no IT wizard, by the way and she made the experience much less daunting, informative and relaxed. I also got advice as to how to shop in your store more effectively value wise and online too. She wore a covid mask, as I did, but I could tell she was smiling too. The other staff were very quick to offer advice as well when I was on my own in the store. Really impressed, thank you all,
Went into Taunton store and approached a young man whose surname was Clarke. He was knowledgeable about the products not pushy and very patient at my lack of knowledge. He made the experience pleasant and was glad he was our assistant that day. Well done mr clarke
I ordered my goods 32 days ago from Curry’s a Christmas/birthday present for my son and still not received my goods as of today. When I contact curry’s all I get apologise and asking me to stay patient. A lost in transit was supposed to take place and up to 14 days to resolve. Now I have to wait for a DOR to be emailed for me to complete. I cannot believe the utter run around I am getting and no one will make a decision.
Then to make matters even worse I get an email on Christmas Day asking me to review the goods. As the saying goes rubbing salt into the wound.
Even today I am no further forward in getting a decision into when I should receive my goods
I am utterly disgusted with the help I am not getting
Currys are good at selling. The end, every other aspect of the operation is dire. Utterly dire. The staff will tell you what you want to hear in order to get the sale then it’s every excuse under the sun. I was stupid enough to believe they could deliver an oven for Xmas (why not they had a months lead time) but on 21st they ring to say they can’t it was an admin error and the best they can do is 28th. So goodbye Xmas dinner and the joy of telling family who’ve flown in that it’s all off. Thanks Currys. End of call, no scope for discussion. Its too late now to cancel the sale and go elsewhere. The customer service number takes you (after a 20 minute wait) to rural India where a halfwit cant understand a word you say, you likewise. After a couple of minutes the halfwit gives up and puts the phone down.
I called into your Scarborough store about the problems my mother had over her washing machine. And finally a man named mark did his best to make things right. Then I called in on the 11th of August to tell them the update and take a iron back that was leaking and spoke to a lady called Zoe. She was very rude and every question I asked was NO. There was no help from her. We felt like we had done something wrong. If you’re going to have staff like her on the front desk. Your going to have a lot of upset customers. I call back and spoke to a man named Jacob. He was amazing. Fully understanding and didn’t know why we had all theses problem with my mother’s washing machine. Going backwards and forwards. Having had a engineers out 5 times. He called me and kept me updated on everything. One amazing young man you have working for you. And then I called in yesterday with my voucher and got amazing help from a man named Joshua. Very helpful. I just wanted to let you know how your store is so mixed up with your staff. You have some that’s amazing and others that are so unhelpful that when you leave the store.
You are lucky Mandy because my experience is along the lines of ‘we’ve got your money, so we’re in the driving seat and can do as we please’. I’ve found Curry’s absolutely arrogant, appalling service and no interest once the transaction’s gone through.
