I came to the Cato Store (#978) in Forestdale, Alabama to make a return for my mother. However, when I got to the door, it was locked at 6:50. The operating hours on the glass says that the store will close on Saturdays at 7:00pm. I should have known that the doors of the store would be locked because the manager did the same thing on the day that my mother and I shopped at this location. The cashier’s number on the receipt is #103. I am not sure if she actually used her correct employee number, but I do know that she was the manager on duty for both days. I am going to return to this store on tomorrow, Sunday, June 5, 2022 to return the items that my mother did not want and I am going to return the items that my mother bought for me. I WILL NOT ALLOW FOR THIS STORE TO KEEP THIS MONEY!!! I am also going to let my friends and family know EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED ON BOTH OCCASIONS!!! I also took a picture of the LOCKED DOOR at the time that I stood there and knocked, but no one came to the door!!! I took a picture of the store hours as well!!! I DEFINITELY WILL CALL THE CORPORATE OFFICE ON MONDAY TO MAKE ANOTHER COMPLAINT!!!
You need to send a secret shopper to the store in Lucedale MS. My wife, her sister, and I went to that location on 04/07/2021. I stayed in the car while they went in to do some shopping. We were there approximately thirty minutes when they came out Nd got in the car. I could tell that my wife was pretty ticked off. We started out of the parking lot when my wife told me what happened. She said that the associate came up to her, and she had items in her hands she was going to purchase, and told her that she didn’t look like she could afford anything in the store. My wife put her items down and walked out. Needless to say my wife was not very happy about how she was treated and neither am I. The associate was very rude and disrespectful and Cato has lost this families business. There was no reason for my wife to be treated that way and I won’t allow it. So to keep it from happening again, we just won’t shop there anymore. Just not worth it.
I hope you can get that store sorted out before it loads too many more customers.

I just wanted to shout out the assistant store manager, Shenia at the Douglasville, GA location. She was soo professional and helpful. I wasnโt aware that the store didnโt open until 11:00 and I called at that exact time. She answered the phone and asked if I could hold a moment since she was just opening the store. She returned to the call and asked how she could assist me. I was inquiring about a particular item. She not only checked on it but offered to check another store since her store didnโt have the size. I was thrilled that she located the item at another store. That was customer service at its best!
I was at the Wayne WVa store the 1st of Oct where I had purchased 3 items n then while checking i precided to look around n notice a necklace i admired n it was on Clearance n i kindly asked the lady (seeing it was the evening n the 1st i know theyve had alot of business) mam i would luv to have that cross necklace but want 2 ask 1st would u have change for a $100(again evening n the 1st) n she looked at me 1st of all like I was just stupid n then proceeded to say no prob not for that item hmmm so if itd been maybe another item or more expensive then maybe ud have change thats the idea I got..So Rude..needless 2 say I got my bag of things I purchased n left store.I mean I didn’t have no more money besides the $100 n maybe if she hadn’t been so rude id bought more ..needless to say they’ve still got summer clothes in this store as high as winter clothes barely anything marked down when i asked her during shopping when r u all gonna mark stuff down she was even rude then with comment weve marked things down cant u see n I think prices are just fine yep should’ve just turned around n left then but nope I did buy 3 items ..so if this lady w/glasses always runs store this way no wonder ur losing customers cause they apparently don’t like to be disturbed holding wall up cause that’s all they were doing was leaning back on wall…i mean if she didn’t have change a simple no we don’t NOT no prob not just 4 that item like that wasnt enuff to even think of getting change for..Very Unprofessional
I visited the Cato store in Scottsboro, Al yesterday. I have not been in probably 12 years or so because honestly I forget about it being there! Well, I walked in, and the cute little lady working, Kathy Bradford, was PURE JOY!!! Seriously I was blown away. She has the sweetest spirit. She was calling customers by name, went the extra mile for each person and it was always with joy and patience. She really set the tone for the store and you could tell that everyone just loved her. You guys really have a treasure working in this store! You don’t see this kind of customer service much. It was so refreshing. I hope you guys will take a look at her and do something nice for her to show your appreciation because she sure does represent you well. I put a status on fb about her and person after person commented on her character and what an absolute joy she is. I will visit your store more and more and mostly because of her!! You can get cute clothes a lot of places, but this kind of customer service is so rare. She absolutely won me over and Cato should be so proud!!!!!
I am very disappointed that Cato”s don’t have reliable staff to open there store on time. Several customers including myself have been waiting for 20 minutes and counting for the Cato’s off Litlle Rd in Arlington, TX to open. Shame on me for being such a loyal customer and standing outside and waiting. This is unacceptable customer service.
On July 16, 2019 I visited the Cato store #813, located at Valley Corners S/C Hickory NC. I originally went in to exchange two items I had previously purchased. It was extremely hot in the store, 98 degrees outside with heat index well over 100 degrees. I stayed only for a brief time, requested a refund and left…the air conditioner inside the store was not working. The customers were miserable, as I’m sure the staff was as well. In all honesty, the store should close as I can see where this could present health issues to customers and staff. Once the problem has been addressed, the store would be a more tolerable environment. Come on corporate, fix the issue in this location.

Contacted Cato a few days ago concerning petite sizes at the Sierra Vista, Az.store. Got in contact with your store manager per your instructions. The store manager name was Rosaura Perez. She was very cordial and informative concerning the store carrying petite sizes. She stated the company tried different petite garments but there was no demand at that particular location.The only petite garments they are currently carrying are slacks. Thank you for your time and response.
I would like to comment on the manager and sales associates that work at the Cato’s store in Grenada Ms. Ms. Claudette is the manager and one of the most professional and nice managers you could meet. The store is always bright, colorful and clean. You’re always vertebrates you enter the store. You’re asked if you need help finding anything or if you’re finding everything okay. The displays in the store really draw to your attention. Her sales associates are professional and get courteous…
Hello…this may be a long shot but I bought a beautiful black top from Cato a year or so ago and it’s my favorite. Sadly, I got bleach on it while at work and can no longer wear it. It has a hood and a string laced at the neck..is made with a soft, butter knit that flows around the hips. I need a size 1X if by chance you still have any. Thank you for your help.
