About Benefit Cosmetics
If you have been following beauty brands, this is one name you couldn’t have missed. Benefit Cosmetics has an incredibly active fan base and the company’s products have drawn considerable attention around the globe. The cosmetics manufacturer is headquartered in California and sells their products in more than 59 countries. The brand is a subsidiary of LVMH. Benefit Cosmetics was founded by Jean Ford and Jane Ford, two sisters, born in Indiana, US. The duo attended Indiana University and also appeared in commercials for the Calgon bath products. The story of Benefit Cosmetics started with a coin toss. The sisters who wanted to start a business after they moved to San Francisco, had to choose between opening a casserole cafe or opening a beauty boutique. Both settled on starting the beauty boutique, which eventually gave birth to The Face Place in 1976. Some of the initial products included a blush, and a lip tint, which was then named Benetint. It is still one of the most selling products for the company, recording sales of over 10 million bottles. The Face Place was renamed Benefit Cosmetics in 1990. The first store of Benefit Cosmetics was set in Henri Bendel in NYC.
The company currently operates 3000 BrowBars and 85 boutiques. The makeup lines manufactured by the company is widely sought after by beauty enthusiasts. Worst customer service that i have ever experienced. I purchased hello happy foundation in an Elta store. The product was expired. I came home and ordered it online. I called cust service and was told to email picture of expiration date. No response I called today and after 1/2 hour wait was told no one has had time to see my email from a week ago! What if this was a Christmas gift! I have 10 different Benefit products and have been using them for years. I guess it is time to try something different
