Just came back from the local mall, Northwoods Mall in Peoria. I’m amazed that you are still requiring everyone to wear masks. If our president of the United States said its okay not to wear one if you’ve been fully vaccinated then I think you need to get on board. This is the first time in weeks that someone has asked me to wear one. I have four kids and will not be buying from you any longer. I was trying to support brick and border stores as opposed to online.
I’m Art from Mexico City and my experience with AE has been always a nightmare. Every time that I need to talk with the staff of customer service they´re very rude, not friendly and they always treat us as if they were doing us a favor or as if we were asking for free clothes and I think that is very wrong. They end the chat or the call even when you’re still talking/writing. Apparently they block any purchase from Mexico City because now no one can buy anything from here because they don’t let you add your mexican credit or debit card because “there was an unexpected error” and when you finally made it they cancel it “due to an availability issue or your request.” When you really made it, your package takes several weeks to arrive and when you try to contact them they say that is your fault or responsibility if the package doesn’t arrive and there will not be refund of your money if the package gets lost in the process. I really love their clothes, so I’m hoping that maybe one day they change all the staff and the bad attitude.
I was at the American eagle store in Pickering mall and I experienced the worst customer service. The manager was very rude and aggressive and was not able to solve my problem. All I wanted to do is return my jeans and I had my receipt and they would not let me return the items due to them saying that they can only return my jeans only with the original card. I explained to them that my wallet got stolen and I had to get a new card and the manager accused me of fraud because I did not have the original debit card. This was very unfair and a horrible experience for my son and I who wasted our time and nothing got resolved so I recommend that nobody goes back there and gets treated like a criminal and all I am was a good customer who bought so many items from their store.
I just wanted to say that the store at the Dufferin Mall location has some of the most awesome and sincere staff. Nice people. Nice energy and nice clothes and things. I visited the store on Thursday November 7, 2019 around midday. I even lost my travel cup. They called me when they found it. I thought it was lost forever. Raises for everyone, please!
I have been a loyal Aerie customer for years, but it is safe to say my visit to the Masonville Mall location in London, Ontario yesterday (September 17th) will be my last. The service I received was so awful, I almost asked: “why is everyone being so rude to me?” There were about 5 employees working, not one greeted or spoke to me. I had to interrupt a conversation between 2 employees to ask for a change room. A Caucasian, blonde, presumably female employee took me to the fitting room without speaking to me; the only thing she said was “I’ll take those underwear behind the till” (assuming I would steal them I presume). She did not ask my name or offer help, but there was a customer immediately behind me to which the employee was delighted to offer a change room and ask “and what’s your name hun?” I rung the bell for a new size, and another employee helped me out, calling me “Beth” (I’m assuming this was the name written on the door from the person before me). She was the only employee who was nice to me. When I went to grab another bra, the previous blonde employee physically PUSHED past me to help another customer, and did not even say excuse me. When I was ready to pay, a Caucasian, brunette, presumably female rang me through. She did not speak to me the whole time. I asked her to grab my pile of underwear behind the till, she looked annoyed, grabbed the wrong pile, and looked annoyed when I asked her to grab the right one. She did not ask me for my AE rewards information (which I 100%) have. On the pin pad, I requested an emailed receipt to which she cancelled presumably because she did not want to bother asking for my email. I spent $130 yesterday, and given my horrible experience, I will never be doing this again at your store. The 1 star rating is only for the one employee who grabbed me another size, otherwise it would be a 0. I can only hope you hire nicer employees for Christmas.
I am truly in awe of the customer service I have repeatedly received by the American Eagle and Aerie staff at the Eaton Center location in Toronto, Canada. Staff are always friendly, helpful, positive and they make an effort to engage with customers in a genuine way.
I am equally shocked by how other stores lack in this area…so to find an establishment that exceeds my expectations every time…well it’s worth recognizing the people that make this culture happen! Whoever does the hiring, training, culture creating of these locations, keep it up! and I hope other establishments learn from you.
I hope my feedback reaches the appropriate people and the management and staff at the Toronto Eaton Center are recognized because they deserve it!
I just have a couple suggestions regarding some styles of AE Jeans. First, I love the straight leg style which seems to be discontinued. Please bring it back. And also the skinny kick jeans only come in one color. I would love it if you could also offer a darker blue. Please consider these requests. Thank you!
