About Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company
Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company was formed in the year 2005. Currently it caters to some 1.86 consumers across Maharashtra. The company has annual revenue of Rs. 33,000 crore. It has 1947 sub-stations (33 KV) with 49000 MVA of transformation capacity, serving some 41015 villages and 457 towns. MSEDCL handles a load of about 10,000 to 11,000 MW. The company employs some 70,000 people.
There is no use writing to the top level also. They are all together. Even the CEO and MD, dont bother to respond to the complaints. They wait for the disconnection and then they make their demands for connecting the same again. No point in complaining. They all are corrupt.
Totally agree, it’s just looting the common man. We’ve to run from pillar to post, and there is no response. Instead of digital India they should first make Human India. It should start right from govt departments. All corrupt to the core. The basic necessity departments, water, light, roads, hospitals all are hopeless. No wonder people take loans and leave the country.
My consumer number is 160235251032. I am facing horrible experience in dealing with the Kharadi electricity office.
1. I missed out to pay only 1 month bill and they disconnected my connection without informing me or intimating (even an sms). I many times have paid 2-3 months bill together but they never did this.
2. After disconnection I paid my dues (1570 was the due, I have paid 2000) online. Went to Kharadi office at 1030 and gave them the receipt
3. I was told to pay additional 100/- for reconnection charges. I paid that there and they took down the complaint
4. I was told the power will be restored by 12 Noon
5. Till evening no changes, I went again at 4:30PM. He told me that the consumer number is not in the compliant. I told them you are the one who registered the complaint and asked why he didn’t write down then. He didn’t say anything
6. Now at 1030PM I called them on a number he had given and I was told will do in 30 mins
7. I called back at 1130 he is not picking the call.
The people in this office are so uncultured and ill-behaved. They don’t even have courtesy to talk properly. Such vague, improper response they give. They just don’t know how to even talk to people. When I talk to them I can clearly make out that he wants me to bribe him for doing his duties. He openly almost is asking bribe from me. But I am not going to pay him and will take it till the highest level.
I am not sure if someone who reads this email takes action. But If you can take action I will really get some hopes back on the service.
I THINK they just want to pretend that they can help but nobody wants to do anything I’ve had serious issues with my billing and the meter reading.
No amount of complaining has any effect, it’s like I read somewhere everyone is in it nobody wants to do anything and they pass on the buck to each other.
I was even told to get my own meter to get it changed.
Electricity board disconnect the connection without informing and after the electricity and reconnection payment is done these people intentionally delay in reconnecting.
I did almost 50 calls whole day for electricity but of no use, They are senseless irresponsible person.
What? Asking for money and etc. ? The world has reached on moon, and here in parbhani there is power cutt off, named as LOAD SHEDDING, not for 2/3 hours, its for 7 hours, and in the remaining hours also light never stays constant, they take 2-3 hours extra, and when we try to call their call center, they disconnect their phone. What a rude behaviour.
The guys who come to take meter reading is demanding money, food, tea etc. This is happening in our Parbhani district. Please do something about it. They are very openly demanding money.
