Iberia is also a founding member of oneworld, the alliance of airlines around the globe
Iberia has been awarded with the “Global Award” in recognition of its ongoing commitment to sustainability and global air transport in World Travel Market 2010.
Iberia Customer Service is AWFUL!!! I’ve been trying for a month to access my Avios points on Iberia Plus and there is something wrong with my account. I finally got a representative to recognize that it does not work but said it would take IT dept a couple weeks to fix it!! In the meantime, i’ve incurred international fees to call their myriad of phone numbers. I’ve been told “all supervisors are in a meeting” at least 5 times now and promised someone would get back to me within 24 hours and that never happens. It’s an awful loop and nobody there cares.
Honestly, Iberia express seem to be purposely invisible for customer service. I can not believe how appalling they are. I have had my eyes opened by my experience!
My flight was cancelled and I was not told. When I called customer service they said it was not cancelled, there was never a flight and I couldn’t possible have a ticket. I gave him my booking reference and he asked “how did you buy that, there is no flight?”….
4 weeks on, no refund. No compensation (EU legal right). No reimbursement for the emergency ticket I had to buy through another airline. Not to mention hire car costs, taxi costs due to landing at the wrong UK airport (different than I took off from due to these idiots) and a missed day at work.
All you get is the “we will reply in 21 days” email, which then passes. IF you chase, you get no where, just another auto reply.
I am just starting action in the small claims court for my money. I am just so fed up with these charlatans.
I need to get to a family wedding leaving from Miami 9/15. Trying to rebook. No one will help me. No one. Please help! I have given five alternate cities to leave from. Miami will not be up and running. All airlines are pleasantly rebooking. Why not Iberia????
It would appear that it is impossible to get in contact with Iberia except through this forum.
I bought a ticket on line but need to confirm that I can fly with my dog. There is no answer on any phone number and you can only write if you are registered as an Iberia Plus member. Guess what – you cannot register as an Iberia Plus member as the effing website refuses to let you insert the required details.
I just hope that this is not indicative of the service I will receive when actually flying with them.
I bought a ticket from Houston to Tangiers from skyways travel that told me it was safe to check in my luggage and will not get lost. So upon arriving at Tangiers via Iberian Airlines, they lost all my belongings and leaving me stranded. Despite contacting both him and airlines, via email or phone, Skyways (Adil and Tariq the owner) said that he can’t do anything about it nor can he even help me get back. That he will charge me and arm and leg, that I should contact Iberian Airlines. I contacted them and gave all the information and this was last July 31st 2016. They never compensated me despite empty promises which on weekly bases, I have been calling them, and they confirm that everything is ok and that they will compensate me, but again, they say please send us the information again and again. For the past 5 months they have been doing the same thing over and over. I send them info and requested things, I call, they confirm that they got all I need is to wait for another 3 weeks to get my money deposited from Spain, Madrid and same scenario repeats again after 3 weeks. The Iberian Airline is a big scam cheating costumers and not just me, but on that day, 80% of passengers lost their luggage and they told me about their previous experience with Iberian Airlines that it was the same. I met people who also lost their luggage from past months coming to airport for their lost luggage on daily basis without result. We must stop their business in United States and inform all the world not to do any business with Iberian Airlines.
Ever since I lost my luggage, I followed their guidelines and submitted everything immediately so they kept giving me fake promises that my lost luggage was going to be compensated and delayed it, then ask me to resubmit the same over and over with confirmation that they received it and go to go. So it took them 6 months till they said that based on Montreal convention the time has finished and I can’t get what they promised. For 6 months they delayed me manipulating the time. I am not alone.
Dear,
I have a question concerning my bagage allowance on my next flight. Unfortunately on your website I cannot find whom to contact. I will be flying on 29th October at 15.45 from BRU to PMI with IB5159 and back on 5th Nov. with IB 3917 & IB3206. I will only be taking a golfbag with me, no further hold bagage and would like to know if in that case my golfbag, if not exceeding 23 kg is considered as the one bagage which is included in my fare.
for your information, my husband is flying with me and we will have just one case for both of us together not exceeding 23 kg.
Thank you for your reply.
Christiane
I just recently flew with Iberia for the first time. I was booted from Aer Lingus to Iberia (no one told me my flight back home thru Aer Lingus had been cancelled). My sister called Lingus and they said they sent me an e mail saying they cancelled and every thing was transferred to Iberia. I was livid, jnot only that but I am deaf and 70+ yrs old can not lip read with masks on..when my son took me to O Hare in Chicago to catch a flight to Amsterdam with Iberia..they billed me out of 100 dollars on a bag that was only 20 k. They assigned me to a seat with 3 party girls..at least on Aer Lingus they made sure every one was socially distanced on the plane..ok I get on the plane ,,they lead me to the middle row,4 seats , 3 young women in their 20’s I am shaking my head,, ok masks no problem but if they are going to speak to me they better come prepared with a tablet or pen and paper since they are not willing to lower their masks a min or two afraid to catch cooties ??? lunch time..i have flown many many airlines and this one was by far the worst service ever…Bald headed guy gets in my face,, i can see the mask riding up and down..instead of trying to communicate with me he THROWS down the food..it was awful. They obviously have NO TRAINING in working with deaf passengers.
Hi,
I am just going crazy between Iberia and British airways. I am leaving tonight and received an email and a sms from british airways that my connecting flight London to toulouse was cancelled. I book all my flight thru Iberia LAX_London_TLS
So I called British airways and they told me the flight was cancelled and to call Iberia after go back and forth. I call Iberia and now they tell me nothing is cancelled and Iam confirmed. So I ask them to verify with their partners to make sure. They could not do that I have to call so again I am a bouncing ball between two partners. The story will continue I have to call back British airways.
Iberia customer services are no help and there is no direct person to discuss any claim. I would not recommend them as a good airline. If they actual cared about there customers then they would contact you directly if there is problem with a claim. One of the worst companies to book a flight with as when you have a valid claim and denied boarding fur to the checking problems they will not compensate you for additional cost or refund the cost of purchasing another ticket, I don’t think I will ever use there airline again.
I’m waiting in line for 50 minutes now, and a voice keeps thanking me for waiting. I’m calling regarding a written complaint that I left at Madrid airport two weeks ago. The lady then said I would be called by customer service within three days – nothing happened. This costs me a fortune, as I’m calling a paid number. What is the normal waiting time that I can expect?
Hi Does anybody know, what rate I have to pay if I call the Telephon number from Iberia: +34 902400500 ? I called from Switzerland and I have a premium rate on my bill.
20 minutes CHF 84.-, is around Euro 70.- that’s a hell lot of money to handle a problem, they had evoked. I found an information, that this a free-call-number, but my telekom company says: we are just a conector and we billing you what they billed us……
Your see, I need help.
Thank your very much.
anndros

I issued a letter to the Iberia Customer Service / P-O Box 36299

I made a booking for flights, booking number is 3ED7PU for 2 people and 3 dogs traveling in cargo for 18th June 2011. After contacting office 3 times I still have not received confirmation of booking by email. I need this confirmation to complete relevant documentation for the dogs.
what did the customer care say when you called? I dont see any reason why they shouldnt be responding..
I need a mailing address for Iberia Airlines in Malaga, Spain. This is to send an appreciation letter for the assistance that Isabel Jimenez (supervisor is Antonio Rodriguez) gave to us on a recent layover in Malaga.
