About Six Flags Discovery Kingdom
Six Flags Discovery Kingdom is an amusement park located in California, United States. The 135-acre park boasts of over 40 rides and attractions that are both adventurous and exciting. Wild life shows, animal encounters and exhibit attractions are part of the activities. For the intense thrill-seeker, the location has eight different roller coasters – Medusa, Kong, Dare Devil Chaos Coaster and SUPERMAN Ultimate Flight, among others.
Besides roller coasters, attractions at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom include Rock Wall Climbing Challenge, Safari Jeep Rides, Sky Coaster (skydiving), Go Karts, Voodoo (spin), White Water Safari and Pacific Rim 5-D (world’s only motion based Pacific Rim 5D ride). If you are animal lover, you can enjoy the sight of Bengal tigers, get close to the penguins and dolphins, feed a giraffe and even climb an elephant.
The park on most days operates from 10:30am to 8:00pm. Tickets can be purchased online using MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover and PayPal. The ticket options include Day ticket, Any Day ticket, Group tickets, Season Passes, Flash Passes and VIP Tours. The season passes offer unlimited visits for an year, free tickets for friends on select days and in-park discounts. There is also the Membership Pass that does not expire and has minimum upfront costs. Note that tickets may also be purchased at the park on the day of your visit. Visitors can reach the theme park by ferry, Amtrak train, Bart or SolTrans bus. If you plan to drive, you can save time and cash at the tolls by paying for your parking in advance.
Families enjoy a wide range of dining options, right from crepes, doughnuts, burgers, ice cream, pizza to Asian food. I have safety concerns about the shows. They should have railings going down the stairs in the dolphins and seal lion shows so we can go up and down stairs easier. All it takes is one tumble and could end up a lawsuit situation. Railing down middle of the isles will help people who has bad legs get closer to the shows easier.
