With the awareness spreading around sustainable development, Uber has come at the forefront for not only bringing convenience to the table but also contributing towards sharing economy. Uber Technologies, commonly known to us as Uber, offers a variety of services such as vehicles for hire, food delivery, and package delivery. Gone are the days when one had to arrive early at venues to find a parking spot. To top it off, a considerable amount of money went into paying parking fees every year. Uber has changed this dynamic for good. Uber Share, on the other hand, has taken carpool up a notch. Not only is it cheaper, but it is also environmentally friendly. In the year 2019 alone, 6.9 billion trips had been completed by people across the globe with Uber. The immense popularity is making Uber grow, and the results are quite evident. Uber’s market share has already increased from an average of 70% in all four quarters to 71 % by quarter one. Uber offers fairly low-cost prices, which have prompted 110 million users to use Uber each month. Uber was a pioneer in the sharing economy, so much so that the changes brought about by various industries as a result of the popularization of the sharing economy by Uber, got termed as “Uberisation”.  Uber prides itself on a hassle-free service and a robust customer service. The second easiest thing to do on the Uber app is to get in contact with the portal for support related to any issue, a problem with payment, refund, or service-related hassles. The first one is obviously booking your cab. Here are a few ways one can avail support on issues related to payment or refund.

Using the Uber app
This one is as easy as it gets. Go to your Uber app, and on the top left corner of your app, you will be able to see an icon/button with three horizontal lines. Click on this icon/button. You will be able to view a list of options, click on the “your trips” option. Your trips will be divided under two headings, past, and future. Click on “past”. Now, you will be able to see all the trips that you have taken in the past, click on the trips you have had a dispute with. A host of options will appear on the screen. From “I would like a refund” to “review my fare or fees”, you will be able to find pretty much all the issues listed here. Select the issue that is troubling you. The app will guide you through the rest of the process.

Using the Uber Website
Uber has a website dedicated to helping people resolve their issues with any of the services that Uber has to offer. You can access the help page for support regarding any payment issues. Log on to the website and click on the sign-in option. Enter your details to sign on to the website. On the right-hand side of the web page, you will be able to see a host of options dedicated to each Uber service. After clicking on the “for riders” option, click on “trip issues and refunds”. A screen with a drop-down will pop-up. Select the ride that you have had a dispute with. Multiple options will appear on the right-hand side of the web page. Select the statement that best describes your issue, and the website will help you through the rest of the process.
