Cancelling already booked flights can be both confusing and annoying, depending on the circumstances. However, no matter how important your travel plans are, there are times when you simply must cancel your flight.

When it comes to Ryanair’s cancellation policy, the Dublin-based airline is quite good at handling flight cancellations and doing what is best for commuters in such inescapable situations. If you have made a booking with Ryanair and now want to cancel your ticket for any reason, here’s what you need to know about the Ryanair cancellation policy.

Normally, every airline adheres to the 24-hour risk-free cancellation policy; however, Ryanair is one of the exceptions. The airline only allows you to cancel your flight for free up to one month before your scheduled departure. Furthermore, you will not be reimbursed for your Ryanair flight cancellation.

If you want your money reimbursed or cancel your ticket within 24 hours of departure, you should pay the Ryanair booking cancellation charges, which vary from $19 to $22 based on the route and flight fare type. Furthermore, while all Ryanair flight tickets are non-refundable, you can still claim compensation if your flight is cancelled.

Cancellation via Website

  1. Start with any web browser on your device and go to Ryanair’s homepage. On the right side on top of the web page, select the ‘Login’ or ‘Sign In’ option. Fill with your Ryanair login information. Proceed to press the ‘Login’ option that will appear in yellow.
  2. You can omit the logging-in step if you don’t have a Ryanair account. Visit the website for Ryanair cancellations. Fill in your name and the correct confirmation number.
  3. At the beginning of the homepage, click the ‘Flight | Hotel | Car’ tab. It will direct you to a variety of alternatives and websites. In the ‘Flight’ header, click on the ‘Manage Ryanair Reservations’ link.
  4. Select ‘Ryanair Cancel Reservation’ from the drop-down menu. Then, on the ‘Manage Reservations’ button. Select ‘Ryanair Cancel Reservation’ from the drop-down menu.
  5. On your screen, boxes will appear asking for a confirmation code, and first and last name. Click the ‘Continue’ option after that. Select ‘Travel Funds’ to track the status of your return.
