You are the only person who can close your store, and the Shopify support team cannot do so on your behalf. You must contact and cancel all third-party providers associated with your Shopify account. Shopify does not issue refunds, as stated in their service policy and terms. They do offer a free trial period with no credit card required. In that case, you won’t be charged if you cancel during the trial period.

Follow These Steps to Cancel your Shopify Account

  1. Log in to Shopify as the account owner on the website.
  2. Go to the Apps page and cancel Apps with recurring charges that may still bill you after you’ve canceled your Shopify account.
  3. Tap on “Settings” near the admin panel at the bottom, then click on Domains and remove your domains from the list.
  4. Select the “Plans” option from the admin panel then simply Deactivate the store. Select a reason from the dropdown stating the cancellation of your account.
  5. You will have to confirm your password once and proceed to cancel the account.
