The 21st-century business landscape has turned more competitive than ever before. Customers have become informed and their requirements have evolved with time. As a result, companies are looking for innovative ways to attract customers, making user satisfaction their top priority. However, if Claro’s services have failed to gain your confidence, then it is time to make a switch right away.
Claro, one of the largest telecommunication service providers in Brazil, was founded in 2003. Offering a wide range of services that include fixed-line, cable TV, mobile, and internet, the company is currently a subsidiary of America Movil. As of the present day, Claro boasts a massive customer base of more than 60 million users while also controlling almost 50 per cent of Brazil’s telecom market share.
But, even after being such a leviathan within Brazil’s telecom sector, Claro has been the subject of multiple customer complaints over the years, the primary one being its poor customer service. Customers have complained numerous times about long wait times on the phone while also being on the receiving end of rude behaviour. The company has also been criticised for its poor network coverage in certain areas of the country, in addition to sending customer bills charging incorrect amounts.
Having said that, if you have experienced any of the above-mentioned difficulties and the same has not been resolved, even after repeated complaints to the company’s customer care service, then you can use our step-by-step cancellation guide.
What are Claro’s Cancellation Terms?
Claro Brazil has laid out some hefty cancellation terms that you, as a customer, should keep in perspective before you take the big leap. For starters, cancelling your mobile or landline service will terminate the service immediately, and you will lose the number within the next 180 days (including dependent phone lines).
Additionally, you can also expect the same with broadband and TV services, where cancellation will be completed 48 working hours after receiving the cancellation request. It should also be known that if you cancel any of Claro’s services before the end of the loyalty period, you will incur a cancellation fee or charge.
Keep in mind that once Claro receives your cancellation request, the customer care department will contact you to confirm the request. And if you have any leased device or equipment, then the same will be removed from your home by the company’s technicians. Failing to accept the removal of leased devices or equipment may result in a fine of R$ 1,800 (Brazilian Real).
Finally, Claro allows customers to request portability to a different service provider. Portability requests are completed within 3 business days. Now that you are well aware of Claro’s cancellation rules and regulations, you can go ahead and register your request by following the steps suggested below.
