My wife and I booked our flight to Chicago with our son.
I have the confirmation and itinerary printed. As soon as I close my lap top after printing the itinerary, I get an e-mail stating that the flight had been cancelled. When called to ask inquiries regarding an unexpected cancellation of just the flight to Chicago, the person on the line blamed it on me and stated that they had nothing to do with it.
I understand that in the perspective of the person on the line, there was not much they could have done. However, when asked how to move forward, they blamed it on me and tried to make me the owner of the fault when clearly wasn’t.
Not only does it not make sense that I would print the itinerary, but to cancel the flight to Chicago but not the flight from Chicago, makes ostracizing case.
I did get the refund back but at this point, I just want a flight to Chicago with everyone in my family.
Not a happy customer due to the way customer services dealt with the situation and did not find any solution to move forward together, rather tried to blame the situation on customer when clear evidence point diversely.
HOW THE F— CAN YOU SPEAK WITH ANYONE AT SPIRIT? I have tried for a week now to simply SPEAK TO SOMEONE regarding an interesting situation that does not pertain to any of the printed or recorded info they provide. TO NO AVAIL !!!!!
THEY’VE ELIMINATED THE “HELP” PROVISIONS BY CHANGING THE PHONE NUMBER AND CONTINUING TO ANSWER ALL INQUIRES WITH RECORDED MESSAGES. HOW DO THEY ADDRESS QUESTIONS THAT CAN BE LIGITIMATELY AMBIGUOUS.?… ANSWER: THEY DON’T !!!!!!
WHAT A MODEL OF BUSINESS SERVICE AND RESPECT TO IT’S PATRONS
Is there ANY way to speak to a real person at Spirit? Do any live human beings work there? All the recorded messages on every phone number I have located through online searching refer me back to 801-401-2222, where a recorded phone tree acts as a roadblock to customers actually getting ANY customer service. MOST frustrating company EVER. Never again.
Also, they charge you for a ticket, then again for a seat(!), then again, $45 for a carry on. AND, they serve nothing on the flight, not even water. Never again.
We booked a flight to Florida to visit friends. I had a stroke shortly after booking the flight and obviously couldn’t fly. When I contacted them, Spirit airlines said I would have to re-book our flight (minus hefty cancellation fee) within two months. However, the doctor said I was still not able to fly within that time period. We lost out on about $620. Spirit has low FARES… and low customer CARES. I had flown Spirit in the past and the flight crew was very nice. Corporate policy is heartless.
I flew Spirit on April 28th, 2014 from Detroit MI, to Costa Rica. Needless to say my flight was delayed and the agent told me, I could either be put in a hotel in Detroit or in Fort Lauderdale, FL. As a Michigan resident, I said Iโd stay in FL. Once I arrived in FL, I was put on another flight to New Jersey and then to Costa Rica (6 more hours in the air). I arrived 12 hours late and had a 3-hour drive to the hotel. Once I arrived to the hotel they where closed. I then had to travel around at 2am looking for a place to stay. Not only did I lose a day of my vacation, I didn’t even have a place to stay once arrived.
It gets even worse. I flew out at 1am on May 9th (2014); once again the flight was delayed 30 minutes. Again, I had a connecting flight in FL. Guess what? I missed it. Sprite blamed it on security issue even thought the flight left 30-minute late from Costa Rica. If the flight didnโt leave late, I would have had time to catch my next flight. After waiting nearly three hours to see what they where going to do, they would not place me on another airline and I had to wait until 8:15pm for the next flight to Detroit. No sleep with 13 hours to wait at the airport.
Yet again, I lost another day of my vacation with family whom I never get to see in Detroit. This was the worst traveling experience I have ever had. And I wasn’t even compensated for anything but my luggage that I had to pay for when I was fighting to Costa Rica. The only reason they refunded it was because they never told me I was going to have to pay for it AGAIN with United airlines when I fly to New Jersey. Also, I didn’t even receive my miles for the FL to NJ flight, what a joke.
I was flying today direct from Dallas to fort lauderdale but my luggage never arrived. No one knows where it is? I’m flying international, changing airlines but my luggage was never lost. Spirit airlines is the worst airline I have ever taken. All my stuffs were in the luggage. That included documents of my new job. I have incurred a loss of 5000$. Now Spirit Airlines customer service doesnt even answer phone calls.
Spirit airlines is currently doing the same mess to me. Lost my luggage on Valentine’s Day. With all of my work supplies inside. Today was the day the claim was to be closed and they send me an email about my address discrepancy. No discrepancy. Then I get an email, at 5:01p, saying my entire claim was denied. I was working. And now no one answers the phone because customer service hours end at 5:30p. Worst company ever!!!!!
I have been trying to contact someone in accounts. I was charged an additional amount on my credit card after making a reservation. I have spent 1 hour trying to contact someone to talk too. I have been transfered and hung up on. I cannot seem to talk to a real person on the phone regarding this matter, even when I called the corporate office. The phone numbers that are listed all give me additional numbers to call. These numbers dont reach a single live person, it only gives me more numbers to call. Please email me with a number to call and speak with someone. The customer care line disconnects while you wait.
How long do I have after I cancel my reservation to rebook another flight and apply the money left after the $150 cancellation fee is charged from the cancelled flight price to the new rebooked flight?
Thanks for your response.
