I paid day before yesterday on the 21 of june i only used it yesterday, today there’s no internet. I wish i had seen these comments before paying I’m really disappointed.
Vumatel seem to be interested in one thing only; take your money and that’s the last you hear from them. Contractors have severed my fibre line and it’s been a number of days without internet. No one is interested in helping!!!!!
I paid for the installation of Vumatel on the 26 March 2022 up until now no installation. I’ve been trying to contact them to make enquiries but I don’t get any better answer. They told me that they are still waiting for my order. All I need need now it’s my refund
Second day now without internet. Tried to contact both Vumatel and Afrihost, but to no avail. The customer care number provided for Vumatel does not exist and with whatsapp, one gets an automated response. Since it’s a long weekend, I will probably only receive a response on Tuesday the 3rd May, well hopefully . They can without fail faithfully do the debit order even on a Sunday, but no one is available to assist. Since both Vumatel and Afrihost provides network services, I would expect customer care to be available 24/7.One pays for a full months WiFi but you certainly do not get that. Downright pathetic service.
Do these guys really exist. You cannot contact them, they have no phone number. Their web page for customer service is blank. They do not respond to WhatsApp. Its like a ghost company. What is real here. Now I realize for the price, this was too good to be true.
My fibre line has been vandalized outside my house on Thursday morning 14 April 2022. I have been calling Afrihost every day since the incident but to get a technician from Vumatel to fix it, but they say Vumatel does not respond to any of their emails. The ticket has been escalated so many times but still no technician. Your normal waiting period is 48 hours but it’s been almost 2 weeks now. Come on guys, it’s very sloppy and unprofessional service for a R27 billion rand company. And by the way guys… Your phone number and email address does not work. So try using from those billions to sort out your means of communication.
Disappointed is an understatement! I have been without internet since Friday 08 April 2022. Have been in constant contact with my ISP MWEB, they have been extremely helpful as far as they can, I am waiting on VUMATEL now to do their job I have a ticket number. I have no idea just what is the delay is.
I have a ticket number and technician were supposed to come at 9am today, contacted your offices with your consultant having private conversations, others promised to escalate my fibre problem to no avail. I’ve made contact on your Facebook account and still no assistance. My ticket number is 170139. Very poor service.
Been without internet since Monday 4/04/2022 apparently the fibre cable is broken. Was told someone would come out to replace it, it’s Saturday, a week later and still no internet, no call from anyone. I have to do all the follow ups. Really pathetic service. Paying for something that I don’t have.
Really disappointed with Vuma. I have been waiting for my fibre line to be activated since Tuesday. The ISP says it takes 48 hours MAX yet here we are on Friday with no activation. What makes matters worse is VUMA does not have a call line. I suppose I wouldn’t have one either if I was this bad at doing the one thing I am meant to do, which is provide Internet to paying customers !!!
Installed my Fibre 3 months back, based at Soshanguve block VV, but for last 2 months it has been a horror connecting.
It’s been 4 weeks of network connection interruption, the problem has even escalated to every 30 minutes I struggle with connecting to my fibre network. It’s stressing because I can’t even do anything. I had hopes that I will have flawless Internet connections but I giving me stress every single day. I am not sure what to do anymore, I’ve restarted and did everything but nothing is changing, the lights on the Fibre keeps on blinking every 10 minutes.
Why didn’t i read these comments before i paid them for the month and have to wait until they finish “minor” upgrades after they stated that our area is live? So deeply disappointed. If anything happens within this month that suggest even more bad service, i am canceling and sticking with my current ISP! Won’t recommend Vuma to anyone or WebAfrica. They are just as incompetent!
Have to agree, Vuma has the worse customer service compared to any other company. Did fibre installation on property on the 10Jan, today is the 5 Feb and I’m not connected. Called and send more hundred emails, still awaiting. If not sorted this week I’m going back to my dsl line which worked perfectly well.
The worst service providers in Fibre business. You do half services and have to be called every time to come and finish. Left a box without a router at my place and promised to courier the router within 24 hrs from Friday. Today is Thursday still no router. Mind u they already took the payment for the month.
Very disappointed I’ve heard of vuma I placed a order like the other comments I read, I’m made arrangements with my boss to work from home due to my disabled daughter, now I have to run around look for someone to take care of my daughter while I go to office, it’s so much of an inconvenient to me as I paid for the service and I’m not getting anything.
I am highly disappointed with vuma. Their service is very poor. I get internet connection issues, ISP never respond but when they debit on my side they don’t struggle. I don’t recommend vuma to anyone
What a disappointment. Totally disgusted and really regret switching to this inefficient company. No response to any correspondence. I will not pay and will not give the apparatus back and will rather reinstate my contract with Rain whom I had no problems with.
I thought l was the only one struggling and reading through the comments l can see it’s the exact same problem l have been having , l placed an order for fibre installation 26 November, until now , no feedback, no update whatsoever nothing they do not communicate, if you call they put you on hold 20 minutes almost, no one attends to you as their customer service team clearly have no idea of how to handle customer queries !!! I am just so disappointed and l have to work from home , l clearly have to look for another service provider!
Utterly disappointed and disgusted with VUMA . I should of just kept my adsl services with My Voip. I was to b installed on the 17th November it’s now the 5th. Telling them that ducts are blocked and no one seems to dam care but they took my upfront payment very quick but can’t get the job done.
Applied 15th Oct to have fibre installed by 1 Nov. It is the 18th Nov and nothing yet! No phone call. I have to do a weekly phone call to be updated. Excuse that IPS was waiting for server in Monte Vista to be updated. If today I don’t get a date for installation, I am canceling my contract.
I’m utterly disappointed you guys make the ISP division look pathetic because they place the order request 25th October 2021 and vumatel don’t even respond to them I’ve been waiting for almost 3weeks now for an extra line on my property WITH NO RESPONSE….
Poor consultants at webafrica has to bear the grunt of your incompetence….
Vuma, your service is extremely poor. The worse part are your employees who don’t understand the meaning of customer service. You gave them phones and they are using them for their own things. One of your employee who identified herself as evah is very harsh and speaks to us as if we are kids. Promise to return the call but never. I have paid but told I have changed the reference number. Sick and tired of this poor service.

Vumatel is the worst service provider I have ever seen. They are only after money. They tell u to deposit money to their acc and they don’t do their job. Even if u want ur refund they don’t pick up the phones. I’m so passed off with these people
Vuma is a good company but they lack customer care . am having a problem but all vuma assistants cant help me if vuma can give attention to their customers it would be nice . please improve your customer care service other wise you will loose clients .
I am also feeling utterly disgusted in the service of vumatel. I am writing exams online and unable to connect in every way. Supersonic simply says the problem is vumatel and yet no one has the decency to contact me as a paying customer. When your debits goes off…you guys do not experience any problems but the customer is paying full amount for half a service. It is not fair. And yet there is no way of contacting vumatel directly. Your automated services is clearly not working.
It’s the worst customer service I have ever had. It’s a serious problem to get into contact with anyone. Should you want to log a fault its goes into an automated menu which is not customer friendly at all. My debit order go through timeously but with regular no internet.
I really hope I could personally visit their office, but office details are not published.
Really no one wants to respond to a customer, I will be raising the issue with the customer ombudsman. The whole world evolves around the internet and business deals are lost without the internet.
I’m waiting for my username and password since Friday, service is poor. Feel like canceling everything.. Must I wait until next month for the username and password.

I got connected to Vumatel last month. In less than a month I experienced a number of outages. Today 16 October is the worst because I’ve been without internet for the whole day. No update nothing. My daughter has never been this angry. I don’t know how I can cancel this service in search of a better one. Frustrated client from Danville Ext. 5 in Pretoria West
Vuma is the worst, I’m staying at Katlehong. It’s the third day now without connecting, I’m really losing my patience with this horrible company. No one is saying anything.. We are stuck with no 1 to help yet we are paying… Wow!
Vumatel must be the worst for customer service IN THE WORLD. Just impossible to contact them in any way, I have used every email address I can get hold of and sent several emails with no response over 3 weeks. I have phoned the “contact centre” that is being closed down at least 20 times and they keep telling me to send another email. They’ve put me through to “reception” 18 times and NOT ONCE has someone picked up the line, instead it states extension 169 is not available right now. How can a company survive while treating their customers this way? I am absolutely stunned at their arrogance and complete disregard for their customers and the general public. Definitely NOT a company I would EVER do business with or refer to anyone.
