About Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium
Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium was established in the year 2008. Located in Nagpur, Maharashtra, the cricket venue boasts of a seating capacity of over 45,000. Also commonly referred as New VCA Stadium, the ground is owned and managed by the Vidarbha Cricket Association. The end names of the stadium are Secretary End and Pavilion End. The first Test was held in the year 2008, between India and Australia. The first ODI as well was between the two teams in 2009.
The New VCA Stadium boasts of state-of-the-art facilities. It has modern high mast floodlights, well furnished pavilion, mini gymnasium, exclusive lunch hall, medical room, special air-conditioned enclosure, thirty eight corporate boxes, well equipped press box, among others. The stadium has four stands. The three tier North stand houses the Commercial box, Presidents Room, Secretary’s Box, Security Central and Board rooms. The South stand houses the players pavilion, media room and players gym. Domestic and international Tests, ODIs and T20s are regularly held in the stadium.
