About Thompson–Boling Arena
Thompson–Boling Arena is an indoor stadium situated in the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tennessee. Opened in the year 1987, the stadium was constructed at a cost of $83.3 million. The arena is home to men’s basketball team Tennessee Volunteers and women’s basketball team Tennessee Lady Vols. It is named after B. Ray Thompson and former U.T. president Dr. Edward J. Boling. The venue is a premier place for basketball, volleyball, WWE and live concerts.
Visitors are prohibited from bringing outside food and beverages, fireworks, weapons, large backpacks, coolers, laser pointers, skateboards, stools, sticks, professional cameras, strollers, computers and umbrellas.
