About TaskRabbit
TaskRabbit is a platform that allows users to outsource any household task and quickly find people to hire. The online marketplace was founded by Leah Busque in 2008 and is headquartered at San Francisco, California. Currently, the platform serves consumers in US and UK. TaskRabbit boasts of more than 50,000 ‘Taskers’ ready to help. You can get help with general handyman, moving/packing, furniture assembly, home improvement, cleaning, grocery delivery, mounting/installation or running errands. All tasks are fully insured up to $1M.
You can register for a new account and begin to search for Taskers on the web or official smartphone app for Android or iOS. You can find a list of qualified and fully vetted Taskers that can be hired by hourly rate. Clients can chat with Taskers within the app. To find Taskers you can choose from a variety of home services and input the day and time. Payments are taken care securely via web or mobile app using Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express cards.

First let me say that the task master was professional, on time and pleasant. This has nothing to do with his service whatsoever. However that being said, First when I booked and received this my confirmation it said three of the item “total “ $57. No where on there did it say $57 per hour. That to me is unethical and sneaky. Secondly, I resent paying a “trust and safety feet” of $17.64. That should be your cost for of business for having clients. I should not be charged for your having the courtesy of protecting your clients as well as training them. While I was very satisfied with the worker that came and put my cabinets together, I am utterly dissatisfied with your billing. I feel deceived. I had not expected to pay that much.
Im an Spanish client of TaskRabbit in Spain. It’s impossible to contact the Users Service (no reply, no phone call..)
The terms and conditions seems to mean nothing. Shortly, Ikea store programed a task for me (assemble an ikea wardrobe). 2 people were necessary, and they did not appear, just 1 tasker. Consequently, TaskRabbit texted me in order to cancel the task (not the other way round).
Incredibly i’ve been charged with and hour work (19,04€) as a fee for cancelation by the only candidate for the task. Is this a normal practice by taskers in the enterprise? Im claiming for my money back, but It seems client service does not exist in Spain.
I placed an order with ikea Tottenham store on 5.10.18 order no.994149064 and they booked task rabbit to assemble the bed, however Ikea could not deliver the bed on the agreed date so I cancelled the order on 9.10 .18 Ikea told me they would cancel task rabbit on our behalf & gave me a case reference of 29955272. I have since had a message from the tasker to say he will be arriving tomorrow. Obviously I am concerned as I do not want to waste his time & I do not want to pay for a service that I believed Ikea had cancelled. Can you please cancel the tasker on our behalf. Many thanks.
