Its a first bank where in you cannot talk to a person if you have any issues. For getting customers payments they have unlimited channels n sources but not offering solutions to customers. I have been requesting to close my credit card as its been blocked 1 year I have paid almost 10k and still these people have kept it blocked when outstanding was cleared for a credit card limit of 15k..they are just interested to collect your monthly min payment and not happy to offer settlement or to unblock your card.
On returning back from India after a long break due to lock down (5 months) I was shocked to see my e-statement with Dh.750/- plus vat as annual charges for not using my card. For 20 years I had been banking with Rakbank. I was always given the impression of a free for Life card. They never informed me of my card being upgraded with fees attached to it.. I was not aware of this kind of ridiculous charges which is a big surprise and a shock!. On approaching the branch I was advised to call the phone banking which I did. They asked me to provide travel documents PP copies tkt showing in and out immigration stamp which I did. Its been two weeks and for the 5th time I provided the required documents. Today I received the rejection by SMS.There is no more free for life credit card. Sadly I have to cancel my credit card with them and am in the process of closing my account. I cannot trust this bank any more. A very disappointing Customer service. Care should be taken while dealing with them.
I wanted make the final settlement of outstanding in my RAK credit card, so I visited the collection department in RAK Bank Al Qusais but since it was 5.15PM they have not considered me saying that their timing is only till 5pm, though the call center and their website said the timing is from 9 to 6pm. Anyways, then I dropped my contact number there. Next day I received the call and person from bank discussed about the settlement procedure. I requested them to give a call back by 3pm in order to confirm on the plan. But until 4pm I didn’t receive any call from them, and I tried reaching the same number as well, but no answer. Hence, I visited the bank again around 4.30pm. After waiting until 5.30pm I finally met a person to discuss and he started from all over again from beginning with applicable plans. I agreed with the plan again and requested him to confirm via email. He said it will be processed and send the confirmation email asap. Next day until 12 pm I didn’t receive any of their call or email, I called the bank and discussed, he said by an hour he will check and send confirmation email. At 3pm I called again and spoke to the same person, now he said he will call or email me as soon as possible.
The bank people who are in RAK Bank credit card collection department are so rude to speak and very annoyed as if I am asking anything from him as loan. I’m settling my outstanding, don’t know why they like people who settling the credit card and why they speak in-disciplined way.

I give a request for limit increase for my credit card . All the documents I send more than 2 times . Today I call them and given the Ref# at that time they will tell me send again the mail. Rak bank service is very bad.
I wish to raise an issue regarding the late payment fees and interest charges which were charged on my RAK bank credit card.
I received my statement for the month of May2019 against which the outstanding had to be cleared by 6th June 2019. Normally I do the payment from online banking and it gets reflected on the same day. And this time also I made the payment on 5th June 2019 which is before the due date.
To my surprise in June-19 statement I was charged a late payment fees and interest charges. I presume the reason was the payment got reflected on my card on 8th June 2019. Since it was Eid holidays in UAE it was not my fault that payment was reflected on 8th June and the payment were done before the due date. Additionally, I made payment for my other cards and which were reflected on 8th but nobody charged any late payment fees or interest.
Against the same I raised a complaint with RAK bank of 15th June providing all the required proof reflecting the payment which was made on 5th June, before the due date. On 24th June I get a message that my complaint is discarded. I call up the customer service to know the reason for the same and I am given to understand that there is no reason mentioned for this resolution of the complaint.
It’s so frustrating and unprofessional to see that, in spite of doing all the things as required by the banking procedure the customer is still unethically charged for something which is not liable to pay.
I will appreciate if somebody can take up this complaint and provide a reasonable resolution for the same.

I would like to raise my complaint to the top management in RAK Bank as i have been mistreated from your staff during the last 2 months and i have complained several times with no action taken.
Since i have your credit card and loan, I have not delayed a single month with a very good history with your bank as you can check in your system. But last month i was in vacation during the statement date and when i came back, I started to receive a lot of calls from someone his name is John from your collection department, I have requested him for a week period because i just came back and need to manage it but he started to talk with me with a very bad attitude which embarrassed me too too too much and i will never accept it as it reached to him to say that he will send someone to my work to inform everyone of my staff that i have a loan from RAK Bank and i do not want to pay and he will make sure to destroy my job and started already to contact my HR department and informed them with the same which they have informed me.
Then i have requested to talk to his in charge but he transferred me to Mr. Alden who has the same attitude and maybe more. So, I requested another person to be able to talk and finally my call was transferred to Mr. Ahmed Shehata who received my complaint on 22nd of July 2018 with a nice and respective way and he apologized that John took the issue in personal matter and it is not first or second time to receive the same complaint of the same person.
I have requested to pass my complaint and i will pay the balance but i am suffering on paying in different places then he said that i can pay to the credit card and the bank will split the amount into both options.
On 23rd of July 2018 i have payed AED 4000 to cover more than the needed amount. But unfortunately it has not been transferred from the credit card to the loan as i have been promised.
Today morning i have received more than 10 calls from John again regarding the loan payment and i mentioned to him to check with Ahmed as payment already done.
Unfortunately he did not believe me and he called our HR again who passed the same to our GM who gave me warning letter “”” note if it is your procedures and caused me to lose my job, How will i pay you later????????”
I went to RAK bank collection department in Al Qusais to meet Mr. Saleel who John’s Manager to complain but i could not do so… but i met Mr. Hazem and explained to him everything then we tried to call the same number for John and he answered with a very bad attitude ” I think he needs a special treatment and i advice him to see a doctor” Then i gave the phone to Hazem to understand something but unfortunately he treated him with a very very very bad behavior too.
End of the story, I have been effected in my job with a warning letter and salary deduction i am in a very sensitive position and got hurt from your people although i did not do anything wrong either than i decided one day to deal with your bank.
Please be requested to do the needed investigation in this situation and get back to me with an apology email form his management and the bank management attached with his termination letter and my compensation as i have been effected too much.
Note; This is my last try to reach someone from the bank to give me my right within one week maximum and if no reply again i with reach to the central bank and police then human rights up to up with nun stop till i reach my right which will be increased day by day.
Very bad experience waiting for a liability letter and visiting the branch nothing is happening no clear answer from anybody.Please up date me on what is happening
