I attended the Monday June 19th game against the Giants. We sat in section 7 row A. How disappointing. I felt claustrophobic with the net practically up against my face. I also had a very poor view from of the action because of how low the row was in relation to the playing surface. I felt below the field and to be honest it was an uncomfortable way to watch an MLB game. I thought “front row” would be great but it definitely was not. This was our 7th game in the past 11 years at PNC and until now have enjoyed our experiences.

When the pirates are playing at home and they’re using home umpires why is it that everything is way outside to call strikes maybe they need to have a screen to where they can see where that ball is going because the parts aren’t going to win many games after being cold strikes it’s outside way outside not even close. And who’s teaching these guys the bat they’re hitting coach ought to be ashamed to be self because just about every one of these Pirate players swings and stuff it’s in the dirt every time
We normally have good experiences attending Pirate’s baseball games, but this game against the Cincinnati Reds on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 during the day was sadly hurtful to my 8-year-old grandson.
Our grandson, during the bottom of the 8th inning walked down to the Pirate’s dugout and politely asked for a baseball, but the staff informed him that they did not have any more baseballs.
A few minutes passed and a little girl about the same age as my grandson went down to the dugout and asked for a baseball. Guess what? They gave her a ball as my wife, my eldest grandson, and our 8-year-old watched in disbelief that the Pirate’s staff would lie and hurt this little boy.
Needless to say, he was emotionally hurt and wept for a moment or two as he told his grandmother, “Oma, this is unfair!” I totally agree, but we also made it a life’s lesson that people are unfair to others, even little boys. His remark was, “I don’t ever want to come to another Pirate’s game, again!”
I have been trying to reach someone at PNC Park in customer service. I am on hold, on hold and then I think it goes to a voicemail — I can’t tell. We want to purchase tickets for a Pirates Game in June. We have a special rate with our conference. There are several people that have mobility disabilities and will not be able to climb a lot of stairs. We want to sit high in the stands. Is there an elevator or escalator for the people in our group that have mobility issues?
