On 29/11/2018 we were told on our arrival at La Paz airport that our flight from La Paz to Cusco was cancelled without notice. We were not given any reason, but it discovered that it was after their accident on la paz runway on 23/11/2018. The fleet had been grounded and all flights from La Paz since the accident had been cancelled – but no passengers were advised. It has affected thousands of people. No compensation paid.
It’s now 3/04/2019 and still no refund, no acknowledgement of claim despite the branch manager in Cusco recommending repayment. And that doesn’t include our claim for compensation for the pain, discomfort, inconvenience and extra costs.
We were warned about Peruvian Airlines.
DONT USE PERUVIAN AIRLINES.
My fight was cancelled right before the check-in from LiMA to Cusco on 7/30 flight 212 3:20PM. Peruvian Air told me they will put me in a 3-star hotel near not so great area while I had a 5-star hotel waiting in Cusco. I spent the entire day search and waiting for another airline’s flight to make it to Cusco after 9 pm. I had to pay excess $150/person to get this other ticket from LATAM. I’ll be demanding to get this excess payment for them which I don’t anticipate much from them. I’ll just file Fraud when I return to states if that’s the case. They don’t even have a point of contact. Not to mention, they have the Worst customer service at the check-in desk.
Horrible airline. They charged me 75.00 for extra luggage and then LOST IT! They cancelled our flight and made us go standby instead of reserving us a seat. Still haven’t got my luggage and they say if i want a refund for the luggage they lost I can only do it through the web. But there is no website for refunds. AVOID THIS AIRLINE….
I have also called several times, in search of a lost bag. I could not get anyone who spoke English. I also was hung up on a few times too after they answered. I would not book on this airline if you have a choice.
I have phoned Peruvian Airlines 4 times and each the receptionist, even though she could speak English, hung up on me.
I need to cancell flights & was trying to do this and get a refund.
Funning how this does not happen when booking flights
Very poor customer service & I will make sure every one I know finds out.
