Munich U-Bahn customer serviceMunich U-Bahn is a German rapid transit system founded in the year 1971. The service operates in Munich, Germany, and transports over 400 million commuters each year. Operated by Mรผnchner Verkehrsgesellschaft, the rapid transit system runs on 8 lines, connecting to 96 stations.

The lines consist of U1 (Olympia-Einkaufszentrum – Mangfallplatz), U2 (Feldmoching – Messestadt Ost), U3 (Moosach – Fรผrstenried West), U4 (WestendstraรŸe – Arabellapark), U5 (Laimer Platz – Neuperlach Sรผd), U6 (Garching-Forschungszentrum – Klinikum GroรŸhadern), U7 (Westfriedhof – Neuperlach Zentrum)ย andย U8 (Olympiazentrum – Sendlinger Tor).

You have single journey tickets and round trip tickets. Fares depend on the zones. Other Day Tickets, include Group Day Ticket, Childrenโ€™s Day Ticket, CityTourCard, QueerCityPass, Airport-City-Day-Ticket and Multiday Tickets. Frequent travellers can purchase IsarCard to hold weekly or monthly pass.

Tickets can be purchased on Ticket machines located at the stations, in trams and on buses within the MVV network. You can purchase Day Tickets, the CityTourCard, and the Airport-City-Day-Tickets online using Visa, MasterCard and American Express.
