About Mango Airlines
Mango is a South African airline that was founded in 2006 and operates from its main hub at OR Tambo International Airport. The low cost airline is owned and operated by South African Airways. Mango currently connects the cities Johannesburg, Lanseria, Cape Town, Durban, Bloemfontein, Port Elizabeth, George and Zanzibar. The airline has been rated as South Africa’s most on-time domestic airline.
Fliers can see the flight schedule on the website. If you need to search and book a flight, you can use the flight search tool on the homepage. You can input the origin, destination and date to begin a search. Along with flight, fliers can also add a hotel or car with booking. Payment for flights can be made using Visa, MasterCard, Diners Club and American Express. Fliers can view and manage their booking online by inputting their reference number. The same can also be done on the Mango smartphone app. Changes to booking can also be made by speaking to Mango customer service.
Fliers can avoid the queues at airport by checking in online. The web check-opens 24 hours before departure. If you are carrying excess baggage, you can book the same at the airport counter. Fliers are allowed to carry one cabin baggage not weighing more than 7kg and check-in baggage of 20kg. The baggage restrictions are published online. If you are a member of SAA Voyager loyalty program, you can earn and redeem points for any flight booked with Mango. I have never experienced such bad service in my life. My flight was delayed by 4 hours from Durban to Johannesburg. I missed my connecting flight to George. Mango personnel showed no care in Durban and said I had to sort it out in Johannesburg. In Johannesburg at their Customer Care counter they said I should have sorted it out in Durban. I was stranded at O.R.Tambo. I had to rebook my flight for the next morning, costing me an extra R500. Then I had to book a hotel at the airport for the night. All I got from Mango was “sorry”. I will never ever fly with them again
Absolutely pathetic. And the reality is that 95% of complaints lodged are of the same concerns… My flight from OR Tambo to George was delayed by a hour no explanation. The flight back delayed by 8 hours, again no explanation or reason. For a so called professional company you’re a total joke. Your complaints dept are manned by a bunch of unprofessionals.
I am really disappointed with your terrible service. Firstly flight is delayed but I only received the sms after the flight was supposed to leave at original time. Then the boarding gate was changed and mango airline did not bother to inform anyone. We had to get this info from a BA staff member. I will inform everyone at my company to never used this airline again
They canceled my flight but my money was never refunded.. I call almost everyday and I’m still not assisted.. never using that airline again.
My father had a return ticket with mango airlines from dbn-jhb and jhb-dbn. An hour ago mango airlines refused to issue him a ticket cause his surname was not there. I phoned head office they said the team leader at o r thambo should let him travel with the same details like he came up with. The women ignored what I said and demanded the 350.00 from a pensioner!!! I had to Ewallet to standard bank they Went with him to the atm to fetch the money. He was out of breath as his pump was in his luggage.
I have purchased flight tickets for 2 adults in March (from OR Tambo to Cape Town)for which I paid R1908,my problem is I received a voucher and tried to make a booking online, it shows that I paid R909.The total amount now is R2546.I NEED CLARITY ON THAT.I have sent an email to enquiries@flymango.com but no response. My cruise is for the 8th January so I need to sort out my things on time.

On the night before the flight i just got an email to inform that flight was changed. This made me late for an appoinent but i kept it as what else can i do. The worse is that my flight still got delayed with another 45 min. Really just think this is bad service.
