About London Overground
London Overground is a passenger rail service managed by the Transport for London (TfL). Formerly known as Silverlink Metro franchise, the London Overground network includes the Richmond to Stratford, Willesden Junction to Clapham Junction, Gospel Oak to Barking and the Euston to Watford Junction lines. Launched in the year 2007, London Overground serves close to 112 stations and travels through 23 London boroughs.In 2014-15, some 140 million reportedly used the Overground. The Network Rail manages and maintains most of the track and signals.
Use the Timetables and live arrival/departures information to plan your journey. Also you can choose the ‘pay as you go’ option with a payment card or Oyster card for worry free travel. You can even add a Travelcard to your Oyster card. Tube, DLR, London Overground, TfL Rail and National Rail uses the contactless payment card. Cancellation and refunds can be applied online or by speaking to the Tfl customer service. Tickets can be purchased online or at Oyster Ticket Stops, Tube stations, London Overground ticket offices. Visitors can also use the self-serve ticket machines.
