Hi I purchased a LG microwave in August 2017…MODELMS5643GARS, which has 10 year warranty on the cavity. I noticed it beginning to rust on the inside and was requested to take it to the LG Agent in Pinetown KZN on 22 November 2022. After weeks of no correspondence or communication from the Head office and numerous calls to the agents and head office, I was informed that the agents sent in a report stating microwave could not be repaired. I’ve received an email from LG stating that I have been offered a ‘Chargeable Exchange’, which is almost twice the price originally paid for the microwave, as the 10 year warranty nomore holds. Being pensioners, where do I rake up that amount from when LG cannot honor their warranty? Really disliked with the poor sweetcorn from LG.
Bought an LG washing machine 2.5 years ago, it came with a 2 yr guarantee on the machine and 10 yr guarantee on certain parts. The machine currently needs a pc board, which LG conveniently no longer stocks…. This is surely one way to not honor your 10 year guarantee… Just don’t make the part so the customer cannot use the machine, and therefore LG wouldn’t need to pay for any repairs during the guarantee period. Poor service, wouldn’t buy an LG product again.
I bought LG TV 55 inch on 2018 May now my TV is no longer showing pictures and LG said the its part is no longer available. I am stacked with new TV.
Meaning according to them every after 3 years i must buy TV.
I am very much dissapointed the way i love LG brand i have almost every appliances in my house jold are LG even my dine is LG.
I think i will need legal help on this because this TV was expensive is not something you could just wake up in the morning and decide to buy.
I posted my complaint and see it was removed. I bought an LG dishwasher just over 2 years ago. In the 2 years the display keeps moving down. 4 times later now out of warranty the screen moved down yet again. LG needs to get this resolved as soon as possible. The sun was blamed, we moved the machine where no sun light is shining on the unit and still the display moved down. This is obviously a design flaw and I will not pay for the repairs involved. LG you have 6 days now to get this resolved. The customer experience is really not good at all.
Hi there I have always been a Samsung fan and under duress because sales guy insisted I take a LG X8 on a Vodacom contract I went ahead, been only two weeks and I am loosing photos in my gallery since ..I am convinced this phone is faulty , I went back to store and the LG support guy was useless..I want to know what are the steps I need to take to get a replacement .
We have an LG microwave (MG-583MC).So proud to say that it was purchased for me as a gift 20 years ago.It was never repaired as it always worked perfectly.We moved house with our beloved microwave and even relocated to another region with it.We never had a problem.A little while ago we started experiencing that a 1 minute quick heat was not heating up properly.I called the repair centre and was told that it was the magnetronand transformer that could be damaged.The cost of it surprised me as it is exorbitant.So i thought of letting you know that I have been a loyal supporter of LG and even had a washing.machine and tv too all problem free..Is there a possibility LG could reward me with a free service on my old faithful microwave as it has been a part of my families life for the past 20 years.Thank you LG…yours sincerely..Daisy..
Pathetic after service. My LG flatscreen has poorly manufactured plastic legs. I complained to Makro from where I purchased it with an extended warranty. Waited for two weeks for LG to replace legs during which time a perfectly working TV fell over and suffered further damage. Three weeks later I was told that the legs were being ordered from Johannesburg. One would think that LG can work faster to replace their dedeceive products. O star rating!
Hi, My LG GR-389STQ has been working wonderfully for about 15years now. It suddenly started to form ice under the bottom drawer of the freezer, the drawer then got stuck in the ice. I completely defrosted the fridge now, I think there might be some drainage hole being blocked, where and how must I clean or open this? What should we do? Or will the fridge be fine now that it got defrosted? Can you assist.
